Another vac n' blo thread

There appears to be two different vac n blos, can anyone shed some light as to the differences since the metro site doens't do a good job of it? Also, is the junior worth getting (only 60 bucks)only for detailing? I hate having the go over the same spot a thousand times to pick something up. Thanks guys :cool:
 
No difference in the two amazon has listed? Is the jr. any good? Thanks guys, tried a search but no answers to these.
 
Jr. is weak compared to the midsize 4 HP model for auto use. I went with the DeWalt DC500. The DC500 has enough power to do what I want to do with it and it more convenient because it is cordless. The Vac n blo is much more powerful than the dewalt, I think so make your choice.
 
I didn't reply to this thread mainly because I've never had a chance to use the Vac n Blo Jr. but I do have the 4Hp version so I will comment on that instead.:)



It is very very powerful for it's size and is more than adequate for your suction needs. In fact I'd compare it's capabilities to a much larger industrial duty Shop Vac. The attachments are excellent quality and give you many uses. If you get the Griots version it includes the small attachments needed to detail engines, interior crevices and hard to reach areas in general. You can also use the blo feature to fill air mattresses (loud but does the job) and to blow leaves/grass after mowing the lawn. Same kit is available through Amazon for $10.00.



It does operate a bit hot (large motor in small package) but I haven't had any overheating issues with extended usage. Disadvantages: Can't suck water, has a small receiving canister which requires cleaning after nearly every use (especially with pets) and that's about it. Build quality is excellent although the paint scratches easily.



From my own past experience with B&D cordless vacuums, none of them ever provided enough power to do the job right even for minor detailing. Haven't tried the Dewalt or the Jr although I'd imagine they both offer superior performance to a B&D.
