Another reason I don't like Wal-Mart

They no longer carry Eurow sheepskin mitts in our area, so I no longer have a convenient source for mitts. :bat

Were these the same manufacturer of the Detailer's Choice mitts I've seen there? I never picked up any either way. I like the MF mitts.

Amen, brother!

Add that to the fact the stores are dirty, there are never more than 2 cashiers, and the people that work there are not helpful and I don't find Wal Mart a very pleasant place to shop.

I fell the same way. Our local one always feels dirty and smelly. LOL But I have to go tomorrow because someone got us something for our nursery and got it at WM were I have to go pick it up tomorrow.

Wal-Mart is the devil. I'm fortunate enough to be able to buy most of stuff locally from Sparkle Auto.

Wow, our Walmart is excellent. Clean, brightly lit and full of very helpful staff. Our local store is relatively new and I actually enjoy shopping there.

They stopped carrying the sheepskin mits at my local WM too, but the last couple I had shed so bad that I was really starting to get aggravated with them. I found what seemed like some really nice MF mitts at my local Auto Zone and decided to give them a whirl.

Don't have a picture, but they're rectangular plush MF on both sides with no cuff, not the dreadlock variety, more like a plush towel.

I've only been using them for ONR, but so far so good. Still using grout sponges for traditional washes :)

I guess it depends on the store and location. I shop at a Walmart in an upscale part of town.

Now I've been to Walmarts before in seedy parts of town, and it stinks, and the people there look like something out of the Twilight Zone.

The walmart in my area is a total freak show, think creatures of the night. I pay a little more and shop else where, cost a bit more but the nicer experience is worth it.

Ain't that the truth. Actually there are some well organized stores and the prices can be quite good.

it depends on which one you go to. my local walmart is clean, organized, and the employees are actually pretty nice...

We have two by us. One is REALLY bad and we have a newer one that is getting added on to make it a "Super Wal-MArt" whatever that is. It's better and cleaner but still some weirdos in there.

There is a book called "the Wal-Mart Effect"

It's pretty good and tells alot about hour wal-mart works. It also tells some interesting stories about how some retail practices that we take for granted were really brilliant innovations during the early days of Wal-Mart.

I'm paraphrasing, but Wal-mart really doesn't care if you think their floors are clean or if their staff goes the extra mile for friendly helpful service. They have one mission: Get as many products in front of as many people as possible, at the cheapest possible price. That's it.

Yeah, especially in Detroit. I think anyone left here must be a weirdo! hahaha I kid!

I once saw Jeff Foxworthy interviewed and he was asked what he'd do if he ran out of "Red Neck" material.

His answer " I'd just go down to my local Walmart for 30 minutes"
