Well i ordered a 6" backing plate and 7.5" polishing pads but the pc came with a counterweight for use with a 5" backing plate. My question is will it be harmful to use the 5" counterweight with a 6" backing plate? will it create too much stess on the bearings causing it to break or will i be fine with this set up? thanks

some say yes, some say no, the only way to really tell is to give it a shot with both.

I would doubt any long term damage if used for a short period.
