Another one from MA.

Hey Ron, ever hit a bird with a golf ball?! I did in Dominican Republic, tee'd off on like a 30 foot hill, when this huge ass tropical bird flew right in front of the ball. The bird gave a quick look and saw the ball heading right for his head and got scared s**tless, he tried in vain to fly out of the way but he was just too heavy, and *whack*, right on the side. The bird was allright. It was one of the funniest things i've ever seen. Aperantely my brother hit a bird dead on with his 330ci, right into the winsheild, but i wasn't there.

I've hit a bird while golfing before. It was at a practice range. I think it was a 2-iron....smacked a crow in mid-flight. The poor bird almost fell straight down and didn't move. There were a bunch of other crows in the area and they all started cawing (is that the right word?) really loudly when they realized their friend had been hit. I thought maybe they were rallying themselves to attack me. I didn't want to chance it so I took cover in the pro-shop for a while and then came back later to finish my bucket of balls.

When I was test driving a 96 cherry red 911 before I got my car, we were doing about 80 on a side road - me and the sales guy. It all happened so fast I can't really remember the exact occurence of events. Out of the right corner of my eye I saw a flash and then heard what sounded like a gun going off in the car. After ducking for a few seconds and swerving, I peered back up over the windshield and saw a nasty flat pidgeon stuck under the wipers. Of course the dealer used rain-x, so the blood trail was slowly making its way up the windshield.

After realizing we were okay and the windshield wasn't cracked we started laughing - that kind of glad-we're-okay-I-don't-know-you-very-well laugh. We laughed all the way back to the dealer. You should have seen the look on the lot boy's face when he was paged to the front of the lot for a clean up. :D

I have pictures somewhere and will try and dig them up.

I couple months ago, I was driving with a friend when all of a sudden a flock of birds landed on the road in front of me. I tried stopping but I was to late, birds were hitting my windshield, roof, and the sides.

It was pretty scary when it happened, but I had to pull over because I couldn't stop laughing. :)

I hit a turkey, that's right a friggin turkey, on the Teconic (sp?) Parkway in updtate New York when I lived there. I was very lucky that it hit the passanger side window with no one in the seat. Lower and I would have taken out the radiator and hood, higher it would have severly damaged the roof, and a little to the left it would have gotten me! Let me tell you, a 20 -25 pound bird at 60mph is like a bomb going off !

Birds Golfballs heck yeah.

Teeing off with the big boy and about 30 yards out a bird(no idea what kind) Flies right accross and thump..... feathers flying.. bird stumbles falls a bit then keeps going to the nearest tree.. mean while the drive lands in a pond 40 yards out.............on the tee hitting 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Freaking bird!!! I was even par up to that point .........2nd hole. ruined rest of my game. .......so I drank some beers

man i'd like to hit one with my van so they can stop crapping on my cars. My GN was hit several times with bird bombs while i was driving. Parked the car in my driveway. when i came back to the car, more droppings. they just never stop.

This happened a few years ago. I was in the front passenger seat of an Audi 5000 heading from Aachen to Dusseldorf. One of the guys in the back had asked the German driver to "macht schnell."

At about 205 kph (a bit under 130 for us Americans), a duck flies directly into the top center of the windshield (about half on the glass and about half on the roof). The noise was unbelievable! The glass flexed so far in that the rear view mirror popped off its fitting and into my lap.

Hello everyone! I've been learning quite a bit from everyone on this forum and just want to say thanks!

I've used Zaino products for the past few years. After reading all of your posts I'd like to "branch out" and try some new stuff, especially on my wifes dark blue X5.

Also need a new buffer, either the PC or Megs since my skills aren't up to a rotary!!!:o

Cheers,
Sean

Welcome to TID Sean. You have found the best detailing forum around, with some of the best detailers in the country (and out of the country). Read a lot, and don't be affraid to ask questions. As my 3rd grade teacher told me, "the only stupid question is the one that never gets asked".

Welcome Sean

Also grew up in Ma.

I see your a chiropractor?I used to work for several before I did detailing.

If your going to experiment with other products besides Zaino I would suggest that you completely get that product off your vehicle before applying something else
