Hello everybody, I'm new to the "deep" auto detailing thing. I have been looking around for a little, and in here I have seen a lot of knoledge. And what a better place to ask than here!!!!:up

Now, here's my issue... I live in an apartment, which means no garage to do my stuff  I have an '05 Corolla bought last November, and my ride, which is an '87 Maxima Station Wagon with 150,000+ miles and runs like brand new. I want to give a good detailing to both of them, specially to the Max because I want it to look like new. I have on my power Polish and Premium cherry wax, which seems to work out nice. But, again, no garage. Theres a self-service wash around the corner, but how to start... that's the tough part. Can you guys help me out how to do it the right way? Any help appreciate it.

Thanks

Search around the forums...you'll find everything you need to know. Follow this process:

wash

clay

polish

cleaner (like Klasse AIO)

sealant

:welcome joeyto,

Most of those self service washes have a covered area where you can do your detailing after washing/drying. Use your favorite car wash, then clay your car, you can then wash again ( I highly recommend that) or use a quick detailing spray to wipe any clay bar residue from the paint. Polish then Wax. Or if you decide to use a sealer......polish, seal ( Klasse AIO will clean & seal ) then wax.

Thank you guys. I appreciate al lthe help you have given me so far!!! I wish I had a cam with before and after pics of the car. I'm sure will impress.
