Another Jar of Souveran or Something Else?

My jar of Souveran is almost empty and I'm trying to decide whether I should buy another one or try something else (only interested in a paste carnauba). I am sure I'm probably the only one that feels this way, but I actually can't stand the way Souveran smells. To me it is really overly sweet and nauseating. I'm after the wettest look possible and appreciate ease of use. I wax every four weeks, so I'm not that concerned with durability. How would FK1 Pink compare? How about Natty's Blue? The wax will primarily be used on a red Porsche and a Silver Lexis. The Porsche is the priority though. Many thanks!

If you have a Harley Davidson dealer nearby, give S100 (P21s) a try. It's a very quality wax and only $15.

Actually Derf PM me your mailing address and I will see if I still have a jar of s100 in the garage and I will send it to you free of charge. I use only Werkstatt and Zaino now.

I agree with the S100 and Natty's Blue recommendations. Natty's Blue is awesome on my dark blue metallic, and the Pinnacle Signature Series II is a very close match to Souveran.

For the money, I'd go with Natty's Blue or S100.

Wow. Thanks. I'll send you a pm.

Among other things, I like P21S (S100). Here's what it looks like on Porsche Guard's Red

I would respectfully suggest that you try Meguiar's #26 high tech yellow wax. There are some/many who say that it is as good as Souverign, and the price is right -- about $12-13 for paste. If you like it, then you've found yourself a bargain. And if you don't, you can always trade.

I definitely like Souveran on black/red, but can't tell the difference on most other colors. Nattys Blue is a great reco, as is S100/P21S. Clearkote carnauba might be worth checking out too; very deep glow over RMG or VM.

Honestly, I just don't think I can stand the smell anymore.

There is some truth to what you are saying about the sweet smell but if the smell were the only criteria there are a bunch of solvent smelling great products that I would never use.

For any dark color like red or black, Souveran remains king of the carnaubas. It works surprisingly well on silver also. Here is a pic of metallic silver with AIO and Souveran:

Yeah, I don't know what it is. At first I liked the smell a lot, but now it is just too much. Plus, always looking for the next great thing! :hmph:
