Another Dealership mess up. Pics!

I got my new G37 in December and the dealer washed it when I was in for service without me knowing and this is the results. Might have been a good thing though, it really got me into learning about proper car care and detailing. Thanks to George at Detailed Image for setting me up.

For some reason, if I look straight on with the halogens behind me, I can't see any swirls, but If I look at an angle, I can see them. Let me know what you think. I have both 106FF and a white pad, as well as the an orange pad with IP. Do you think the 106FF will do it? Im going to start with that. This is with a PC.:buffing:

When I bring my cars into the dealer for work or regular scheduled maintenance I put a sign that I printed out. Big bold red letters...

DO NOT WASH

I leave it on the dash. In addition to telling them first not to wash it. You can never be too careful.

That's what I do now.

I was lucky enough to snap a picture of one of the workers at the dealer washing a car who then dropped the drying towel, picked it up and continued using it. I printed it out with the words "DO NOT WASH" and tape it on my radio when I take it in to service.

I only have an X-Type...I feel so so so bad for all the XKR's that fall victim to their car wash.

I think your choice of polish, pad and machine is a good place to start. I tend to be a little conservative and start with a mild polish then go heavier if I need to. BTW, I love the G37. Someone in my parking garage at work has a deep blue one and it's a real looker.

BTW I'm scheduling my 560SL into the dealer for some work, and I'm working up a big red sign first. :) DO NOT WASH

Thanks guys. I actually am going in for service today. Making my nice big sign, lol. I actually called the service manager the next day when this happend and he wanted me to bring it in to have the guy buff it out. I laughed and said I am doing it my self and wanted you to know you have bad washing practices going on.
