Another Aquawax Believer.

Awesome! Glad to hear you are loving it too! :)

I gave my car another quick wipedown Friday afternoon and as expected, the car looks amazing. Beading is outstanding, and longevity seems darn good. AW is not carnauba based, and would probably function better over a sealant.

I think Tiger Mike and myself along with wannafbody and AL-53 are some of the original "AW" users (new acronym!). We can't sing enough praises.

It's the new OCW - better looking and longer lasting.

I couldn't agree more on all counts! :D

I'm just wondering if AW can be sprayed over relatively new paint or if it can be used to remove wax residue, for a sort of "spit shining".

New paint as in a re-paint? If so, I wouldn't use it. I'd stick with the time frame the body shop gives until it is cured. If it's a new car, then go right ahead.

I have used it in the spit shine-like method you mentioned. A couple or three fine mists per panel on top of the wax then buff off. But, I prefer using it as a stand alone product. I generally use FK 425 or CK QS like you described, then follow with AW. I think I get a better effect this way.

I checked out the website and based on what the front of the bottle says, it's a "wax as you dry" type product. Is this how you guys are using it? Does it work like a QD or do you have to let it haze before wiping off?

I'm using it on a dry car in the same fashion as a QD. Spray on, whipe off. No hazing. It's as easy to use as a QD with rediculously good results for something that simple.

Looks like I will have to give it a try. I've been really happy in the past with the Duragloss products I have used, so I already know they put out some decent stuff-main problem is finding someone who carries it.

I ordered 2 bottles of AW and 64oz of the wash soap online direct from Duragloss and shipping was only a few dollars. Definitely give it a try if you want to try a couple other products from them. So far I've done my dad's TL Type-S (dark green), my WRBlue WRX and my sister's 98 Integra with it in a WAUD style and like the gloss and shine it gives. Durability is definitely going to be tested on the sister's car :)

So this is an actual sealant? or LSP? In the past I've done my sealant and then a wax as my LSP.

I guess what I'm asking is, if I use #21, then say Natty's Blue, I would put AW over the Natty's?

Cool, definitely seems like a SprayWax/QD. I still like how compatible OCW is.

I'd try the 21 and AW and see if you like that combo-it probably would stick to natty's-as I suspect natty's is mostly polymer

Are there any online dealers that carry DAW that take PayPal?

PayPal is how I keep my stash hidden from the wife. :chuckle:
