Another #20 ?? Feels like it's gone, but still sheets.

I #20'd our Durango about a month ago and it felt as smooth as a babies butt. After the first wash, it still looked great, but it felt like the polymer was gone already! It was that clean feeling like right after claying, run your hand on it and it kind of sticks. It's been raining the past couple of days and the water just rolls off like it should. Last time I did the Durango, it kept that smooth feeling for quite a while. Am I just being paranoid, or should I give it another coat?

Go ahead and give it another cote. It is easier to do it now while it is clean. You also won't worry about the protection.

Mike is doing the dishes and he said, "Protectants are meant to wear off, that’s why they’re referred to as a sacrificial barriers. “The protectant/wax sacrifices itself so your paint doesn’t have to.

Then blah, blah, blah…. You all know Mike. (He needs to get back to doing the dishes now.)

why not just do the #20 and top it with a caranuba like #26 or s100? Imo, having a wax ontop of a polymer will provide a glossy look, and will offer a little more protection.

I was going to suggest you simply apply a QD. That's what I do with Zaino (Z2) when it seems to be losing its slickness, and the improvement is dramatic. But if Mike Phillips says add another coat, then who am I to argue? :nixweiss

Lynn is right (on both counts!! ;) )- a little QD will work wonders in bringing back the slick feeling. Another application of #20 won't hurt either, but in a month or two, it won't feel any slicker than right now either.
