once you turn into the park head down the park road until you see a lot of trucks in a big parking lot.

the park's physical address is:

walnut creek metro park
12138 N Lamar Blvd
austin, tx 78753

The meet will be at the walnut creek metro park, which is slightly north of austin, at 11:00 AM. so come on out to talk detailing and hang out. you provide your own lunch. we are going to rent the pavillion so we will have protection from the elements and access to the big grille. Then possibly end the night at a local car show (TBD).

More details to come. I will see if canopies are allowed. Also, will see if a water hookup is present, as well as electrical outlets. If not, I will be able to bring my trailor (maybe van by then) with a generator on it.

More details to come....

Since you have the powers to be send me a two way Plane ticket my friend and you can consider me inn:yay

Chris...

This sounds like an exciting time....it is good when groups like this have a gathering..it is lots of fun and also a good way to give and gain knowledge....I am sure with your skills you will pass it on and show them how to make paint gleem.....
I have gone to s few gatherings like this for Ford trucks and it was a great time....there were some Ford certified mechanics there and I learned alot of maintenance tricks that have worked out great...and alot asked me how I keep my paint so clean..so it will be a fun time....

I hope this gathering works out and it continues to keep going...a good way to make new friends and sometimes people to help you out when a problem arises....

Have fun and enjoy.....

Al

UPDATE.....

No water or electical outlets. I will MOST LIKELY be able to bring my generator, pressure washer, and water tank.....

Bring em on! The more the merrier.
You in a Caddy Club or anything? If so, maybe we can get a Caddy thing going, along with the Trailblazer/Envoy and S Series P/U clubs.....and of course, the detailing folks that will be there......

I am interested to meet some people on the board as well as pick up tips and techniques.

Looking forward to seeing you there. If you have any questions about the meet, please feel free to ask any questions.:santa1

I've been all over the cadillac forums, there are some guys in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, but I have not had much luck on finding guys in the Austin area. I am part of the local Nissan 300ZX club (actually i'm one of the founding members, but I have not been involved in club activities for several years). Aside from the car show (I'm also a Texas Heat Wave Judge) I just want to meet some of the other detailers in the surrounding areas and trade ideas and talk shop. I'm really looking forward to this event.
