Re: Announcing the Diesel1 Roku Channel!

LOL, I have a ruko stick on the tv in my garage. guess I can now watch how too's out there WINNING.

Re: Announcing the Diesel1 Roku Channel!

This is a cool idea. Now I know I am going to get rid of my cable box and get a Roku box.

Re: Announcing the Diesel1 Roku Channel!

Lol free with connect. :P. Or at least the vega version?

What is the price of the videos?

Yes, the rokus plug into hdmi ports. They can turn a regular hd tv into a smart tv. I actually prefer it over most smart tv setups. They have continued support unlike a lot of thr built in smart tv apps that get ignored after a year. Even first gen rokus are still supported, granted the new ones do get better features. But if you watch you can get new and refurb rokus for signifigant savings from time to time. Up to 50% off at times. Just fyi for you high tech guys with 4k already you may be better served waiting for the next gen that supports 4k. Then again you are rolling in it so buy a 3 now and get a 4 when it comes out. :p

Re: Announcing the Diesel1 Roku Channel!

Lol never mind i just looked and the 4 is out. :) oops

Re: Announcing the Diesel1 Roku Channel!

Not sure what diesel1 name is. The channel is called autogeek. The free part seems to have the same videos that are on the website. Good if you don't watch on a tablet or laptop, or don't have ability to stream from a device to your TV, a la AirPlay Amazon Fire, etc.

As for the other video section on the channel, yes they are selling videos. Although I did get a DVD of XMT Series videos in the box with my last order. I haven't had a DVD player in several years, so I'm not sure what's on it.

Re: Announcing the Diesel1 Roku Channel!

How does it connects to the TV? USB?

HDMI cable. You also need an internet connection handy. The Roku 3 has both a built in wireless receiver and a cat 5 network cable jack so it can use either one of those to connect with your internet connection. I used to have the WD box that did the same sort of thing but the Roku is way easier to deal with and way more reliable. It's a winner, sort of like the Rupes of internet streaming devices.
Oops, I missed post #6
