yeah, I havent detailed my own car in 17 months now (going to next week sometime, I swear...

anyway, this car hasnt seen a detail in over 3 years. It took a total of 3 washes at various stages, LOTS of claying one compound round, two polish rounds, and one sealant layer. The interior was a quick 1 hour or so. Wheels needed to be taken off and hit with megs wheel brightener, but that was not done, so CG diablo was called for the outers twice, and...well, this is why you dont neglect your car!<o></o>

And the afters without any protection on it! This is after meguiars105 and menzerna 203 and a CGWG wash to remove any polishing oils. Still had FPII and a sealant to go!

WOW a hammered BMW! I have started using ABC decon system, and boy it makes short work of neglected cars needing a prep.

Cheers,

GREG

yeah, I hardly have the drive to detail my own car...lol it really needs it though on the outside, and a little on the inside. I do wipe it down with 303 every few months, but I need to steam the whole interior once I get one, the seats are pretty worked IMO, but good in OO. Lets not talk about the exterior...lol

Great work toyotaguy!!!

How do you like using the ABC system? I really want to buy it, but I'm kind of concerned because the intructions have a lot of warnings (don't touch plastic, don't leave in paint too long, etc.) and I don't want to risk damaging anything on my cars. How long does it take to get an average vehicle decontaminated?

hahaha, not mine! that would be pretty sweet though for getting around the car...LOL just fire up the rotary and roll around since it grips so much when cutting...LOL

Nice save! Did the paint feel very hard to you? To remove the slightest of scratch on my 335i of the same color, I had to use a rotary and rotary. Medium polishes are only good for micromarring on this typie of paint, it seems.

What's up with every single black BMW e90 [being posted on this forum] being severely swirled?

It was only 6 months ago since I clayed mine, and mine is all contaminated like I haven't clayed it in years. The problem is the brake rotor powder stuck on the car. The flat belly of the car also creates a turbulence at the rear of the car at high speeds, causing road debris and dirty road water to build up around the trunk area.

Wow man . . . . car looks great! BMW brake dust is horrible especially when left to bake on the rims.

Excellent results. What are you using as far as machines go? PC? Flex? Makita?

what kind of pads as well? Keep up the killer work.

pcxp mainly, with some rotary work (only used when compounding with wool), menzerna sip, 203, FPII, and megs 105/205 (those are my go to products as I can almost leave the rest at home!

Thanks for the good words!
