anchoring your canopies/shades

i was using some small weights designed for anchors, but the were not strong enough. i then came up with a better idea. i went to lowes and bought 4 metal 1 gallon paint cans and 4 long bolts w/ 4 wing nuts. i filled the buckets w/ concrete and put the bolt in and let in harden. i can now set each leg on a bucket through one of the holes and then screw the nut on for safety. the buckets not only hold the buckets down, but also give you 8 more inches of clearance for those taller vehicles.

Would you happen to have a pic of this?

The bucket and water method is great and what I recommend doing is getting your company logo and info on the buckets in the form of a nice decal and it's free advertising.

If you are only moving the canopy around for like a day or weekend, permanent weights are nice...however; if you are carting this around each and every day using buckets/containers that can be filled on-site will be a lot less work and wear and tear on the vehicle transporting them.

AJ, I see your getting ready for the "oven" :angry, have you detailed cars thru a full summer here yet? I cant imagine doing detailing outside here during june, july or august....:sosad other than your ez-up a big fan would be nice too...
