Recent car i did a full detail on. Heres my aunt's daily driver. This car had a good amount of contamination on the paint and it was heavily swirled from being taken to the car wash regularly. The interior was in good shape. Probably the best I've seen in a while lol I used Menzerna SIP and Orange Pads and was surprised to find it finished down LSP ready with one pass of my PC at 5. A yellow pad and Menz SIP was used on some areas. Theres about 130 pictures so if you have slow internet take a coffee/beer break. Whole job took 28 hours over the course of 3 days.

Not sure if everyone can see this, but if you have a laptop and you tilt your screen you'll see the grime on the trunk in this pic

dsc02760d.jpg

So as you can see in the picture above the tires and wheels were bad. I decided I needed to use heavy stuff so I brought out the EO A2Z Tire and Wheel Cleaner. Now I sprayed them down pretty well and the brake residue and grime dripped right off. Heres where I HIGHY SUGGEST USING GOGGLES AND GLOVES. While rinsing the wheels off the stream of water caught a part of the wheel and shot some wheel cleaner into my right eye. I was not a happy camper. My eye burned right away and I quickly began to rise my eye out. I literally took the hose to my eye :shakehead: and kept rinsing my eye for about 20 mins. After this my eye still didnt feel good so i went inside and hit the shower and let the water hit my eye for a good 5 mins straight. Probably the scariest moment of my detailing career to date and hopefully the worse it will get. My eye felt better but it was highly irritated. I stupidly forgot I didnt have my goggles on and this is what happened. So todays lesson WEAR EYE PROTECTION

This item in the picture below I found at Harbor Freight for around $20. It was a lifesaver on my back and body when it came to polishing, claying, and interior. I would love Racatac but i rather not spend $200 on it when i have this cheap solution.

Also picked this up at Harbor Freight while i was there, I think I paid around $50. All steel with rubber wheels and it has 3 shelves. I put some protective foam on the edges to avoid any scratches on the car. This was also a huge lifesaver and time saver. I would load it up with the necessary products for the job at the time, (Wash, Claying, Polishing, Wax). This was a bargain compared to the Rubbermaid one which is like $100+

Absolutely amazing. Extreme attention to detail. I like.

you were able to get that much correction with a portercable? I just ordered a flex rotary. Looking forward to it. My harbor freight polisher was a piece.

how do you like those 4 inch pads vs the 7inch?

:thx and yes with the PC I was surprised to get that much correction but i consider it a lucky combo of the SIP and the Orange pads. I also went very slow and took my time on each pass making sure the polish broke down nicely. Im looking to get a rotary to cut down on time and save the PC for when the rotary overheats and when there's skeptical paint levels on an area.
