It's almost getting redundant singing the praises of Patrick at Excel :

great prices ,great products, great service.

Veterans of this forum already know all of this.

For the newb's , seriously take ExcelDetail into consideration when ordering products.

Money can be spent anywhere ,but customer service makes a BIG difference...Patrick's a classy individual who will take care of you.

He doesn't carry everything ,but he carries the RIGHT things...quality.

(By the way, this gushing effusion is wholly unsolicited. I have NO ties to Excel and NO alterior motives. I've been ordering products online for a few years now and more and more find myself ordering there....I'm just giving overdue credit where it's deserved).

I'm sure others here will chime in with similar sentiments.

Patrick----:bigups

Sorry, it's the grammar nazi in me. "Alterior" is actually spelled ulterior. :)

Another proud Autopian to praise Patrick. It's nice to see him mentioned instead of the hackneyed shilling for AutoGeek every other second.

:goodjob

I think I will order from Excel sometime soon. I like Autogeek for one stop shopping but the thing I can't get over is their ridiculous shipping charges. I ordered over $300 of CCS pad and Cobra MF's. I don't recall the exact amount, but the shipping was outrageously high. To add insult to injury, when I opened the huge box, my MF's and pads were packed so safely in . . . packing peanuts! There were so many peanuts I almost didn't find my mf applicator at the bottom! I think shipping charges could be saved if they'd be a little wiser. I mentioned it to one of the girls in customer service and she kinda snickered and said, "What can you do?" Well I guess you can shop elsewhere since this is a free country.

Enough of my rant. I continue and will always order directly from Zymol. I've recently ordered mf's and tried other stuff from Chemical Guys and really like their stuff. As I said, I will give Excel a try for sure.

Ummmm, they have free shipping on orders over $75 for members of their forum.

When you do give a try to his Monterey WW. I love them :)

Autogeek doesn't honor any of its free shipping offers outside the 48 contiguous US states. I'm in Alaska and autogeek does us no favors. (Same deal for Canadians & Hawaiians.) The shipping is very high.

By contrast, Patrick at Excel Detail & the folks at Pakshak, another outfit i like, both try to do what they can to make shipping reasonable. It's a choice on their part and I appreciate that Patrick and Pakshak have chosen to put service first and not gouge folks on shipping. I plan to only order from autogeek if I can't get something essential from patrick or pakshak - a circumstance I don't see happening.

then there's the candy.....mmmmmm.

Or 10% for Autopia members. When you figure in the shipping, you really don't save much . . . if anything at all.

When I spoke with customer service and 2 of the "techs", it's a wonder why they didn't mention anything about that. At the time, for the rest of us non-AG Forum members, it was free shipping for orders over $500.

I'll still order from them if it's one of my "one stop" orders. But when you look at their prices, I've found that Danase is a better etailer. I'll look into Excel. I've ordered twice so far from Chemical Guys, and they're not too bad either.

Oooopppsss, I didn't know you are in Alaska. Yup, that would make quite the difference for you :(

Don't even take me there. I would easily forgive Patrick messing up my order (which he never did) but he better not forget to put in my candy :bat

I'm just jealous of the great deals I miss. But I do like to support the vendors who make it easier for me to shop like a normal person. (I love target and amazon for that reason. they give alaskans the same deal as everyone else.)

absolutely. Good priorities there.

I know I've been to Excel Detailing's site, but I'll have to take another look at it. Always looking for new gear and product! While we're mentioning some other class acts in general, I'd like to mention Phil at Detailer's Domain and Nick at Detailer's Paradise. I've put through some serious orders with Detailer's Domain and they go as expected every time. Also, I've met Nick Martinez who runs Detailer's Paradise out at his shop in Denver, and he is probably one of the nicest guys in general that I have ever met. Heck, he even gave me a lift back to my hotel so I didn't have to get a cab. I was out there on a business trip and looked up his shop. But, it's always good to have options, so I'll have to take a look at Excel also.

To be honest, what I've noticed is that all the companies where I order my detailing products (autopia store, autogeek, etc...) all have great products backed by fantastic customer service. Whenever there's something wrong with the product, the seller always sends a replacement, usually for free. Replies from my questions are always prompt, shipping is always fast. It must be the competition ;)

i just did another order with (patrick) exceldetail and just got my order! the delivery was quick, the pricing just right, and the shipping costs were honest (he doesn't charge a penny more than what it cost). to top it off, i got a delicious peppermint candy that he's know for... :D

exceldetail.com = :2thumbs:

I'm (obviously) not over here very often, but I can only echo all the positive comments about Patrick. He's as generous with his advice as he is in doling out value for the dollar spent and amazing customer service. In a marketplace full of excellent vendors, Patrick stands out. That's probably the highest compliment I can offer...and I'll accept thank you's now for saying "stands out" instead of "excels." Thank you, I'll be here all week.

Thanks, Patrick! And, even if it's back to the top after a long while, kudos for a terrific thread.

I placed my first order with him Monday, received it Wednesday, and also got the peppermint candy, which I thought was hilarious. Funny or not, I opened it and popped it in my mouth immediately. :)

Thanks for the great service Patrick! :xyxthumbs

just to let everyone know, here some new info if you haven't read or heard lately... :up

Exceldetail.com will soon become "West Coast Detail Supply." Within the coming weeks, we will be rolling out a new storefront, with much easier navigation, and options. After 10 years, we've also decided to change our face to Westcoastdetailsupply.com. We're doing this to enhance our footprint in the car care capitol, known as Southern California. Don't get me wrong, we will still provide outstanding service to all of our customers, just as we always have. And we will continue to ship across the U.S.A., and to our customers overseas. We just wanted to enhance your experience while shopping.

You may also notice an absence of some of the familiar products we used to carry, and over time, we will introduce new items making a strong position amongst detailers. Our inventory selections are driven purely by our customers requests, not by what makes a bigger profit. If there is something you would like us to carry, we will certainly consider bringing it aboard after evaluating its worthiness. Products like Optimum, Four Star, Lake Country, Porter Cable, Tuf Shine, Eurow & Showroom New have proved to be of high quality to us, as well as the company policies and representatives. We will continue to offer a wide selection manufactured from those companies. Products manufactured by Finish Kare, Duragloss, 303, One Grand and others, will be re-evaluated for shelf space. Only the best of the best!
