American rice

I hate to say that the interior actually appears to look much higher quality compared to the cheap look / materials on the stock car. But the color choice is just plain wrong. Theres alot fo work in that car and appears fairly well done, but gosh almighty is that one HIDEOUS creation!

I dunno. It would work as a model on a box of Kellogg's Corn Flakes. :rofl

I can certainly agree with that 100% -- I'd love to know who the professionals are who did the work on that. I'd not hesitate to let them work on my vehicles as long as they didn't make such misguided decisions about color schemes and whatnot. :LOLOL

That is a '93-'97 body style base level Firebird. The lack of ground effects show that it is not a Trans Am and the rims are base Firebird rims showing that it is not a Formula. The only engine available in the '93-'97 Firebird was a 3.4L V6. Since it is a manual transmission it has to be a 5-speed as that was the only manual offered with the base motor.

yeah that makes me want to commit murders.

^ the late 95 and up had the 3.8 series II

and generally its just obvious that rice like that wouldnt be fast.

No they did not. The 3.8L V6 was intoduced in '98 for the base car...same year that the LS1 was introduced for the V8 cars.

I hate to disagree, but '96-'97 cars had the 3.8L....

However, based on the particular style of base/stock rims this car had, and also on the steering wheel (the airbag and control buttons changed style for '95, while the '93 and '94 models had the same one that had been in the '91 and '92 3rd gen cars), and also factoring the stock cassette HU (the '94 had a different type of controls, while the '93 was again a carry-over from '91-2 3rd gen cars) -- this started life as a '93 Base Firebird /w a 5 speed and 3.4L motor.

A quick couple minutes on eBay can confirm this:

:grinno:

yes the 96 and 97 had the 3.8 but in 95 they switched half way through production so some 95's have 3.4s and others 3.8's.

Wouldn't that be considered 'wheat' or 'corn' instead of rice? ;)

Not if you consider RICE to mean Race Inspired Cosmetic Equipment rather than uniquely Asian. Rice spans all cultures, IMHO. Like the nonfunctional hoodscoops and side vents that came stock on the previous generation Mustang.
