Aluminum wheel polish

I have been using Eagle One's Billet Polish on my polished/no clear coat Centerline wheels since '99.

A rep at Centerline recommended it to me.

These are the wheels here.

Yes, that is Griot's Best Of Show wax on the hood.

Been using that with a Porter Cable unit for a few years now, and it kicks booty.

I went to polish my wheels which are off the rig for the winter today, and I only had enough left to do one wheel.

Question is what has everyone else used on soda pop can wheels to get the oxidation off.

Mine are not coated, and I don't like coated wheels either.

Uncoated ones shine up better when all is said and done.

I have been thinking of ordering some of Griot's Alloy polish since I have had excellent results with their auto wax & polish line.

Then there is Mothers Alloy Polish which I have heard of, but have never used.

I have been very happy with the Eagle One stuff I have used for a few years, but just wanted a few different ideas.

Thanks,

i LIKE your 4runner!!!!!!!!!!!

Those things are always so much fun, especially how you have it set up! never owned one, but friends did...i had 4x4 chevy pickup

I have some polished billet goodies as well as uncoated polished aluminum wheels on my 67 Mustang. Over the years I have used just about every metal polish I saw on a shelf or at a swap meet. I have gotten good results from just about all of them at one time or another.

I like Mothers, although I haven't used the Billet polish yet, Blue Magic, Eagle One, and Meguiars.

Recently I tried some Clear Kote metal polish and I was impressed. It brought back that "just buffed" shine with very little effort. I'm definitely going to keep some of it around from now on.

Hi Corey

New to the forum, but your post cought my eye straight away. Just came out of the detail business last year, my company detailed for MB dealers across the UK 6500 units per year was the normal through put, now sold out and dont have any more stress :-)

We used a product called Alloy Wax from a medium sized company called Toughseal. This product knocked spots off any other well known branded item that was available in fact we sold gallons to MB customers that had bought new cars (left a flyer in car glove box, naughty but effective). Many folk reckon that a normal wax is just as effective, I strongly disagree.

By the way I drive 40 tonne trucks now, far easier than detailing and looking after nearly 100 staff- still like to keep my ear to the ground in the industry.

Cheers
