Aluminum Cobra Replica...

Clean Dean

Keep it clean !!!
I had the pleasure of detailing this beauty today indoors (temp outside 25 degrees) !!! The paint needed a serious swirl removal and I followed the following steps...

1. DACP w/ rotary and green edge pad.

2. Megs Swirl Free polish w/rotary and blue edge pad.

3. #9 with PC and white polishing pad

Followed by Poorboys EX and topped with P21 Concours.

Nice!!! :bow

Did you get to drive it any?

What kind of paint is that, S/S or C/C? Did you do the interior and the engine bay? What was the total time?

I want people to trust me w/ their custom builts some day! :D

REX-RACER

Did not drive, and would not want to in NJ weather (25 degrees).

On the engine I used Mother all metal polish, Red Heat all pupose cleaner, Poorboys Spray and Wipe, various brushes, compressed air, 0000 Steel wool, Auto Magics Seal-It, and about 3 surgical towels and 3 MF towels. All of the towels are specifically utilized for enginebays and doorjambs.

The paint was clearcoated and very soft, the paint looked like it was hand washed with steel wool.

Total time of detail was about 6 hours. The interior was a breeze. I used Lexol, and did not extract the carpeting (did not need it).

Sweet!

You can tell the P21S from the reflectivity. I bet Souveran would look awesome as well.

Nah, that's a shine that you can only get with topping EX with a carnauba! ;) I agree though, Souveran would have looked just a *little* bit better. P21S tends to be shiny whereas Souveran tends to be more deep, wet, and glossy.

Very nice job, just wish you would have posted some before pics. :up
