Alternative to Zaino

Werkstatt's Prime and Acrylic Jett. Similar system to Klasse (acrylic sealant) but easier to use and IMO, looks better than Z2 Pro and every other sealant I have used. Durability is very good too, similar to Klasse and Zaino.

That makes two of us. used Zaino for a few years before using the JW line. " for my rides " they do look better than the Z2pro. durability is very similar as well. to each their own, some people will not even use a sealant and prefer a carnuba. I say try a few products that you can attain on a regular basis and decide what looks best and suits your method of application. if we all used the same product or drove the same car, the world would be a very boring place. besides what would we have to talk about here :chuckle:

You can order Duragloss from the U.S with no problems, I ordered mine from the US and although shipping was expensive it still works out cheaper than buying some similar products in Australia.

I'm not sure of the rules of this forum otherwise I would post up the website. Can someone confirm that I can ?

you could just PM them with the link. can also give them your take on the product. just a thought.

:wavey That'd be me!

...at least on my own black car. On metallics though, I almost always go with a sealant.

Can not blame you for liking the look of a carnuba. I just can not do it in the winter time up here :sadpace: have to admit the JW CJ has been a pleasant suprise, looks great on my black Jimmy. not sure about durability but it seems to hold pretty well for me :nixweiss bottom line is whatever you like to use and have faith in use it :2thumbs: without any competition how often would we see new products or ideas coming out ?

[quote name='apotelyt']We can't get Zaino in Malaysia...the nearest distributor is located in Singapore. The other factor is also cost..By the time Zaino gets shipped to Singapore and if i were to order it from the Singapore distributor, it works out to be about 1.7 times what you guys can buy from the US..

Well, don't feel too bad; I get mine from the same fellow, but I have to pay more for the shipping than you would - that's life!

At least by the yen/SD exchange rate, though, it's cheaper than buying from the Aussie distributer (w/o even considering the shipping rate).

People there ar alternatives toZaino depends on what you like duragloss 105 times 3 with 12hrs to cure in between before applying aquawax.

mongo

hi Apotelyt, I am from Indonesia. I never use Z as well only see it one in the workshop of my friend fellow Autopian X-Trail who crazy enough to import it ( along with Menzerna, Klasse, PB, Menzerna, P21S, etc ) directly from U.S :wow:

If you can get it in Malaysia you can try Wurth product, it have their twin like SG too called Super Polish and Gloss Seal. Or if you can get their complete system you can try Permanent Pain Protection which is considered more durable than Gloss Seal.

It produce more clear look IMHO than the Carlack 68 (still the product that I admire the most).

And what about Autoglym SRP and EGP ? I thought AG is more easier to get in Malaysia?

Dude you need to try Collinite 845 or 476s, they laugh in the face of winter :D

Lol I hear you. have both but for some reason prefer the look and application of Pime + AJ on my rides. AJ sheets water very well and the durability has been nice for me.

Collinite is durable not doubt BUT from my experience 845 traps dirt and salt if it isn't washed frequently. IMO Duragloss and Zaino are better at releasing dirt-especially at a spray coinop.

Zaino is simply one of the most optically clear products in my arsenal.

How do you even go about measuring optical clarity? It seems as though such a thing would based on opinion, as I have yet to find any method or device for measuring this... :nixweiss

Ditto!!!

Unfortunately, we both went looking for something better only to find that the grass was as green and full as it is going to get with proper Prep. :(

Same here.

If im going to do the rubbing I want the best possable results.

Zaino gives me those results..........

Although there are many excellent products , There is no equal or alternative to zaino IMO.

I prefer the look of a sealant ,where Scott prefers carnuba neither is right nor wrong because this is preference. To me Z5 pro and Z8 are the 2 best products made. Z5 pro is so well enhanced I use it exclusively as my LSP and maintain it with Z8.

I have stated many times that I have tried just about everything ever made( still test flavors of the month ) and IMO Zaino is #1.

I do however like another product line that I have tested which is JW line. I really like Prime acrylic ,AJ and AJT. If there were no Zaino this is what I would use. IMO Zaino has better durability. AJ & AJT come closest to Z5 pro. But Zaino is still #1 in my book.

The DG line is also pretty good for me its a step down from Zaino but a nice product for the price.

And I've seen all of his stuff he has tried every flavor there is...

SUP Dog.....

Well,

I tried Menzerna (The Power Gloss, The Intensive Polish, and The Final Finish), which I bought from their Indoneisa Distributor, and found they are really good. The difference with 3M is that they cust much nicer, and once finish applying the final finish, they get more wet look than 3M and other products. ALso I learn that the Factory in Germany only produce above three products, with different variant of each, but the end results are the same. It's just different powder type and quantity. Overall, Menzerna produce a very good compound for cleaning scratches, water spot and spider-web

For wax, I still prefer Zymol, which produce much nicer depth of color, and also more wet look. Durability too is very nice (This will depend on how we wash the car). Zymol is better than zaino in every aspect, but price. However, since this is a hobby, price should not be matter. Zymol certainly produce much deeper color and more wet-look than Zaino. Durability is the same (depend on how we wash the car). I tried Carbon Wax, which is very nice, and I used Concours Wax which is very depth.

So which Zymol do you use?
