Does anyone know of an alternative to this spray that is also safe to use?

Preferably something cheaper and readily available.

Thx

I think he means while detailing. I have decided that once business gets busy that I am going to do what NYD does and purchase one of these

And then get a drum of this

Just to clarify....I meant the solution....not the container.

But the Craftsman sprayer is nice too....hmmmmmmmm:p

I use a sprayer similar to that for the pre-soaking of the engine, door jambs, fender wells , and tires with my multipurpose cleaner. Alot faster than squirt bottles, and more convenient.

BP - When you soak the door jams down do you just spray them off with water or do you wipe them? So are so damn hard to get into. I was thinking of getting another gallon water sprayer to use to sray out door jams after spraying Megs APC in the jams I cant reach to wash them out more controled than a hose.

I just started a thread on the University about this.

I used Stoners MSLT on my wheels wells and undercarraige today and it seems to work great!

I drove it a total of about 45 miles and it's held up so far. No rain or anything but it should work just fine for a pre-show detailing.

I use it for my tires and have a couple of cases of it on hand so I think I'll forego the purchase of any Griots undercarraige spray until I find that the MSLT doesn't do what I want it to.

The initial results are very encouraging. Regards, JimS

I love Griots Undercarriage Spray but it is a bit on the expensive side. I did use Engine Kote for a while (trying to find a way to use up the gallon I purchased so I can be done with it) but wasn't all that happy with the results. The EK, IMO, didn't come close to the Griots product.

Lately I've been using Poorboys Bold N Brite tire dressing on the undercarriage and it works as good as the Griots spray, if not better, for less $$.

Natty,

I also like Poorboy's Bold N Bright! :xyxthumbs

I now use it on tires, trim and wheel wells. For wheel wells, I usually spray it on first, wait a couple of min, and then rub in/buff off. Works great! :D

Cheers,

Ozz, I spray the cleaner , agitate with a paint brush, and pressure wash the jambs. Any kind of residue left, like grease, cosmoline like stuff etc., I use Valugards New car prep to remove.
