Already not beading water, WTF?

Also, 1Z PP doesn't do much for my minor swirls, and I have some scratches here and there and it doesn't do anything. I went over a section on the '66 Mustang about 5 times, and it reduced the swirls, but not to an acceptable level.....I need something stronger. That, or maybe I'll just wait until I get the PC and see how the results turn out with that.

Yeah, see what happens with the PC, but I like having 1Z's Ultra around, too. Gotta follow it with PP, but it *is* a good bit stronger.

I've been using Eagle One WET car wash, with a 100% cotton wash mitt.

I was thinking maybe, just maybe you were using a car wash product that promotes sheeting rather than beeding. Eagle One Wet car wash promotes beading though. Heck watch their videos on their website and it is obvious why the general public equates beading with protection.

Mat, I do not see any real cure for your durability problem. I suggest that you find the product(s) that gives you the "look" you want and just wax/seal every 4-6 weeks so that your obsession with beading is forfilled.

I have a 95Z so I doubt the age of the paint is your problem unless there is a clearcoat problem (failure). You live in very severe weather conditions (topical temps, sporadic showers and their concurrent drying cycles and high humidity and very saline humidity at that). All these things will effect a protectants durability because the protectant is doing its job by sacrificing itself to protect your paint from these constant assaults. If Zaino can not fight a long battle there are not too many more proven alternatives out there to try. Klasse twins? JMO.

Alright...maybe I'll order the UP just to have it on hand. Is MP mandatory after PP?

No, the MP isn't really mandatory, but *I* like the slightly improved finish it gives me. The improvement is more noticeable on some cars than on others; some people can't get a "perfect" finish with just PP, others (most?) can. Worth doing, IMO. And it'll be another coat of wax, perhaps helping with the beading issue. The wax in MP seems more impressive *to me* than the stuff in PP.
