Almost ready for winter

Wow your door jams look amazing! What was your process for them?

to maintain i usually wipe them down with a with a soapy sponge during my weekly carwash, then hit them with quick detailer and a microfiber towel. Dressing the weatherstripping is also important, i use a semi-beat up sponge to wipe down the weatherstripping prior to apply dressing which is done once a month, i also apply wax to the door jambs monthly..the true secret to having door jambs, is 1st you have to do a thorough cleaning. Where the door hinges bolt to the body, there was some type of glue used which over time attracted and bonded dirt and dust :furious: So i took some degreaser and a toothbrush made out of boars hair and scrubbed gently. Its the smallest brush of the group and you can find it in the detailing section

make sure to get boars head and not nylon :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

Absolutely amazing looking! Everything looks great

How long did you wait before you layered your #21? 24 hours I'm guessing? I wasn't 100% sure it could be layered because of those "fine" cleaners. I also plan on using #21 for my car during the rough NJ winter. My car is in serious need of just a wash, let alone a complete detail, but I avoided last nights snow by putting it in the garage :chuckle:

btw where abouts are you from in NJ?

:xyxthumbs i waited 24 hours, since my car is garaged i had light dust to remove. i used poorboys spray and wipte then i layered collinite by hand. #21 is impressive, i wax once a month and i do use it once a month.. i know sealants can go 2-3 months, but i wax once a month..even garaged nightly jersey is horrible on paint. IFO and other pollutants in the air have a field day on my paint :hairpull im in central jersey in piscataway, which is the same city as pal automotive.. if your in the area, check them out as they carry most of the meguiars line, pro and consumer and detailers brand

Always cool to see another Autopian in the same area. I've been to PAL's a couple times, and Mark really has a great selection of detailing supplies, thats where I picked up my 8 oz bottle of #21. I'm sure many Autopians would be in heaven in his shop. :grinno:
