Almost Go Time!

Okay guys, my PC is here, along with all the other goodys! I have just a few last questions before I jump in!

1. Polishing - My Z only has very light swirl marks so I'm confident that it will only required SSR1. I know you start with the least abrasive method first so my question is, do I start with a finishing pad, or polishing pad. And if it happens to need say a cutting pad, do I have to follow up with SSR1 again, on a less abrasive pad, or is the SSR1 ok with one step regardless of the pad?

2. Wipedowns - I've read about the 50/50 iso/alcohol 70% water wipedowns. The questions is between which stages are the wipedowns necessary.

and 3. Is sealant the only stage that needs the long hours to cure, and if you go with 2 coats, do you have to let the first cure?

Thanks again guys! I appreciate all your help! I plan on getting you some results in the form of pics here soon if the weather on this upcoming 3 day weekend cooperates!

well you can try a black pad first, some say it has a little cut, some say it has none

I personally don't think an ipa wipe down is necessary.

I always let sealant cure, atleast a few hours,12 is better though

1. Starting with a finishing pad in a test area will tell you if the combination is aggressive enough. If it's not, then move to a polishing pad with the same polish, or a more aggressive polish with the same pad (my preference). If you need to step up to a cutting pad, the yes, you will need to finish out with the SSR1 again.

2. IPA wipedowns let you see if your polishing has fixed the defects. So I do it after each polishing step to see where I am at.

3. Let the sealant cure overnight at least. 12 to 24 hours seems popular. Some say they are good to go after 4.
