All in one for a cheaper job?

... Having said all that - I have heard good things about Poorboy`s World Polish with Sealant as well although I have never tried it.

No experience with Poli-Sea, but the Optimum products I`ve tried, I`ve liked.

I recently tried Poorboy`s Polish w/Sealant (PWS) and liked it. I used a black finishing pad, but I *think* I may have switched to a white polish pad. Though, maybe that was what I did with the trunk lid? Yeah, I think I only used black foam on the hood. Easy to use. Smells nice. I would say, based on my experience, it`s a fairly mild AIO. Great for those cars that just need a deep cleaning!

Before PWS...

After PWS...

and if you`re having trouble seeing a difference...well, here`s a pic of the after. I drew some red around the spot that hasn`t been cleaned up. You should be able to see the difference.

OH, and if it`s worth anything to anyone....

I`ve also tried Klasse (KAIO) and HD Speed.

KAIO is another easy to use cleaner product, BUT doesn`t come off as easily as Poorboy`s PWS.

HD Speed is what I would reach for if I wanted something more aggressive (with an orange cut pad). The trade off here *might* be lack of durability on the protection side.

I vote for HD Speed, you can use it with an Orange LC Pad for more cut and finishes down nicely still. I would top it with HD Express for synergy, it has nice sheeting behavior from what i`ve been noticing on my test hood i got sitting outside right now going on 4 weeks which is good enough for me for such an affordable and easy to use spray on product.

Do you guys clay before doing an AIO? Thinking maybe $120 for a van that size. Wash, clay, AIO with a polishing pad...

I do. Don`t want to risk instilling swirls (i.e., you knock some crap loose during polishing, it gets caught in the pad, and look at it go, round and round)

Ok I`m thinking wash, clay bar decontamination, one step AIO machine polish $120
interior vac, wipe down, extract carpets and seats, $75. probably both at different times so they get what they want and I still get $195 for the basic detail.....

any thoughts?

I ordered Optimum poli seal, ONR, 2 yellow Meg`s flat pads and one maroon one. I already have one yellow pad, hopefully 3 is enough for an AIO. Booked a full exterior detail for our landlord. I quoted $250. I`m thinking ONR wash, wheels detailed, Poli seal, and Meg`s synthetic sealant as LSP. It`s a PT Cruiser, black. This should be fun!

Sounds like a good plan. You could actually combine your ONR and clay step into one. Then proceed to poli seal. Will save you some time.

You would basically be doing something similar to this other than using optimum car wax. You could mix up some ONR for clay lube and spray that back onto the panel to keep it lubricated.

Mr. Slick- I like the maroon Meguiar`s Cutting Pads, but I wouldn`t use one with any of my AIOs. Just too aggressive a pad to match well with that type of product IMO.

With KAIO, IME it`s best to buff it off before it completely dries/flashes.

Ok thanks I`ll save it for using 105 in other details.

I`m late to this party, but you could have asked which AOI doesn`t perform well? I`ve used a lot of them and can`t remember one that didn`t perform well. Some that weren`t mentioned that I have tried Britemax, Menzerma 3 in 1, even Essence all worked well for AOIs. This may be one category where high cost may not equal better.

I was almost thinking the cheapest one would be Megs liquid cleaner wax. It`s like $6 at autozone

You would be better off with white wax over the maroon bottle. Corrects better and protects better. I used it on a black F150 with great results.

Looking forward to seeing how poli seal works out for you. I just saw someone use optimum GPS topped with optimum car wax and it looked really good. The guy used optimum car wax to wipe off GPS to save him a step.

Oddly enough, I was reading up on White Wax yesterday. I was surprised at it`s correction ability. But yeah, I saw that it corrects better than the maroon bottle. :) (I believe Stoops himself said that)

I`ve had a tube for at least a year....might be trying it out this weekend. Still debating what the heck I want to use on my white Jeep,.

I like the idea of GPS being wiped off with OCW to save a step. I bought GPS about a month ago...still haven`t used it. [sad]
