"All clear coats have swirls ma'am, that's just how it is." :rollseyes *56K* maybe

Whoa baby!

Talk about a turnaround. Great work...Its no surprise to me that she was thrilled.

Who's going to wash it weekly now?

Thanks Sean, she is. :) We spent about 30-45 minutes going over washing and drying techniques. She is going to purchase three sheepskin mitts and three Meguiars water magnets. She said that she doesn't mind doing it herself, but thought that the "professionals" would do a better job. She is sort of an autopian in the making, she was telling me about washing their hummer last year and the hose being frozen (she keeps a spare in the garage). As you know, it takes real dedication to wash in those temps. :D

As always Joe, top notch! :2thumbs:

Soon you're going to have to ween yourself off the PC and #80 :chuckle:

Great, great job.

Out of all the details posted, your consistent use of spot lighting to highlight defect removal is wonderful to see. You look at a car at a slightly different angle, snap the pic and it looks great, but at another angle, the defects are shown :o . Your use of lighting prevents that and truly brings out your skill at polishing out a vehicle as well as your understanding of product usage.

Dude.... :bow

Incredible work as always, I really like the after shots with the lights, shows off your skills very well.

I am not at all suprised some hourly hack at a tunnel wash would tell her the paint transfers and swirls can't be removed. Probably doesn't have the knowledge or proper training and equipment; or, with what he gets paid an hour isn't going to bust his hump over any car. So sad and so typical.

Accumulator, I think you are thinking of #84, it's been a while since I used #85...

Oops, my Meguiar's-ignorance is showing, either that or I really *am* getting old :o

You sure do have your what-to-do routines down pat though :xyxthumbs

Wow, that's some good work there! Such a nice paintjob too it seems from the pics, I can't believe people let that go to hell in the cheapo carwashes.

When I was driving today I noticed a line of about 12 cars at a recently opened cheapo carwash. Poor suckers are paying $12 and think their car is going to come out for the better...

Where did you get your dual Xenon lamp?

I hate local tunnel wash "detail" places, and today in my local neighborhood was a banner day for them. Beautiful fall day about 72 degrees, and the place was PACKED. It just makes me cringe when I drive by there and they're so full and people think when they leave there that their car looks great. Uggh!

I got it from Lowes when I saw Superiorshine's post about it on MOL. Props to him for findign it, it is a great tool when you are dealing with poor lighting.

Accumulator, I knew what you meant--your memory is not in question. :)
