It was a long 18 and a half hour day, from 4 am. to 10.30 pm. :shock:
Arrived at 9.00am and left for home at 5.00pm, 600 mile round trip:shocked

The swirling from the dealership was quite heavy in places, and very visible in the strong morning sun. When it came to the 50/50 test sections, the sun went in and my camera, although being a 10 megawotsit state of the art thingy, hated the Halogen and over exposed the RED pics.
Some direct sunlight shots where captured after moving the finished car when the late afternoon sun re-apeared. So swirl correction can be seen.
First, the interior was "spruced up" with some Megs APC, a good vaccum and dusting of all surfaces.
The glass was cleaned with AS glass clear.
The wheels were soaked and cleaned in ValetPro Safe wheel cleaner.
Then the bodywork had a good soak in Citrus degreaser, rinse and re-wash with Megs Shampoo plus.
Then out came the owner with some lovely bacon sarnies on posh bread
Refreshed, it was on to the claying, with CYC fine poly clay. Contamination wasn't too heavy, and the clay cleaned the surface up nicely.
After various test sections, the correction method direction was Rotary with Sonus SFX1 pad and Megs #83 on the heavier swirling, followed with PC and Sonus SFX2 pad / SFX2 polish over the whole vehicle.
Final seal was Carlack NSC/ Klasse AIO followed by Carlack LLs/Klasse SG.
This gave a real depth to the Alfa red, And in-between tidying up, 2 layers of Petes '53 added a noticable wetness and gloss.
Wheels already had some PB sealant on, and this was topped up with the Carlack, and tyres with AS highstyle.
Exhaust with Autosol and Megs All metal.
Lenses with Megs Plastx.
The aftercare write up is on it's way to Lord melch to ensure the finish stays.
Thanks to the owner for the coffee, bacon sarnies and kicking over a nice chilled glass of Ginger cordial I was looking forward too. :lol:
