Alcohol/Distilled Water "Spritzer"

The acedic acid in the vinegar gets out water spots and such while the alcohol is a solvent and also acts as a vehicle for rapid evaporation. Do you want the actual chemistry behind it?

Yeah, i figured the acohol broke down grean and oil and I knew it evaporated quickly. I wasn't sure if there were some other properties. The vinegar had me stumped though.

But I would very much be interested in the "chemistry" behind it. Because I would like to experiement with different mixtures and concentration until I find something I like. Please, speak freely on the chemistry, you might consider laymen analogies as you go, but don't hold back. :)

it actually would also be good for cleaning the rubber around your windows and the rubber around your doors and any other rubber stripping type material on your car.

Proper autocare recommends a 50-50 mix.

I find that with Klasse AIO and SG on my glass I only need distilled water and a viper MF towel though.

I use the alcohol/water mixture as a clay lubricant. It evaporates quickly, so the clay remains dry and doesn't become mushy. You do need to spray more than usual, but it's cheap and wipes off easily. It doesn't add any extra slickness... QD's often make a non-clayed section slick as well. IPA/water really helps deep clean the paint.

I don't have a specific dilution ratio... just a little more water than alcohol. It works fine for me!
