AIO's and 1-Step products...

...Can someone clarify if these are the same thing?

I'm looking for products, of which I may already have (we'll get to that in a moment), that would allow me to go over a car 1 time with my DA. Something that does more than simply apply a wax or sealant.

I have some products, but there may be better products out there that would serve my needs.

I currently have:

D301
M205
Mothers Cleaner wax, liquid and paste.
Meguiar's Cleaner wax, paste.
Meguiar's UP
XMT 360

I have opti-seal also which would allow me seal the paint as well.
I was wondering is Optimum Poli-Seal or GPS, Klasse, HD UNO, or other various products that would fill the bill better than any of my current products. If what I have works then that's great.

Ah yes, one of my favorite topics. I'm a fan of the new Blacfire Polish n Seal. Meg D151 is another good one. Klasse is great but is mostly a cleaner with no correction ability. Werkstatt Prime Strong is another of my faves. It's got a bit stronger polish than Klasse and looks fantastic topped with Jett Trigger, very easy to use.

I knew I would forget some products that I was aware of like D151, and CG Blacklight. I also forgot Duragloss products as well. I've heard great things about Duragloss, and I've also heard some good things about Werkstat Prime Strong (BobbyG I think referenced this).

From many of the posts I've read on this topic some of the stronger suggestions go to certain Duragloss products and to Werkstat Prime Strong. It seems that these products may surpass my current products that I have in a AIO or 1-Step category. The DG and Werkstat products may even surpass some of the other products that I mentioned.

I'm trying to narrow my choices down to 2-4 products to purchase, preferably all the way down to buying only 1 product for this purpose. I will consider any other products, and I'm glad BlackFire was mentioned because I'd forgotten about it...actually wasn't even aware of it since I'm not too familiar with that line of products.

I must say that I've been leaning heavily towards Duragloss products (because of their beading endurance and polishing abilites), but would like more input before making a selection. I forgot to mention them (DG) in my original post because I was thinking about Optimum Products from Todd's thread about asking Dr. G questions, thus why I mentioned Optimum Poli-Seal and GPS.

When you say you want more, what do you mean? Correction? Or just cleaning?

The Meg's 205 and UP are the only ones you listed that don't protect and would need another step, but Opti-Seal would be quick and easy. The XMT 360 might be the best product you have on hand to do what you want. I personally like Poli-Seal and BFTPnS. Really all depends on the car, color, condition, and desired results.

Let me try this again since I haven't been very clear in two posts. Your questions may help me clairfy.

Yes, I am looking for a products that can do many things in one, but not necessarily heavy or moderate corrections. Mainly something that can polish a bit, clean well, and protect well. If I can only get minor polishing, and great cleaning ability that is fine because Opti-seal is quick and easy.

However, I know that a few of the Duragloss products offer great cleaning ability, and perhaps even some good polishing ability at the same time (don't know for sure), and they are highly durable as far as longevity for a customer all with going over the car only once and would eliminate even using Opti-Seal...not that using that products takes a lot of time, but 10 minutes is 10 minutes.

I glanced at this as well. Thanks for your input.

OPT GPS is another one.

Perhaps I haven't been paying attention, but I haven't seen many thorough reviews on this product. Thanks for your input.

Just making a general comment to anyone, and not trying to be arrogant at all in saying the comments below.

It would be nice if folks could let me know something like this; "Well I have products W, X, Y, and Z...and X in comparison to the others seems to work better for me because..."

It just helps to be able to compare something you like to something else you've used rather than simply just throwing out the name of a product. Especially coming from newer posters whom I may not know. It would help me get a sense that they know what they're talking about, rather than just throwing a name out there or promoting a product.

OK, I'll play. I have Megs D151, XMT 360, KAIO, Griot's 1 Step, Poli-Seal, G-P-S and BF TPnS (& maybe others) plus CG EZ Creme.

I like D151 because of the cut I can get out of it. It is really the only option for hard paint.
I like BF TPnS because of the finish - so if I don't need a lot of cut, I would choose it. XMT is good, too - on soft paint.
I think EZ Creme, KAIO and Griot's clean the best (totally subjective) but all should clean good enough.
Poli-Seal is my Opti-Coat freshener.
G-P-S is the only one I haven't made friends with yet. The couple of times I've used it didn't get me what I was looking for.

I would top them all. Have been using D151 + OCW on a couple of hard paint black DDs with good success.

Even with AIOs, I believe you must get rid of (most of) the swirls for best results. Otherwise, just lipstick + pig.

Great response. This not only helps me, but others who may read in the future.

I don't use many AIO's but used GPS last week and it came out nice. As far as reviews go here's three.
