AIO with PC set on 2.5

I did that today on my car. I basically spread the AIO and wiped it off after it hazed a bit. I read different posts about WOWO but others have said it should be hazed a couple of minutes. Most ppl seemed to agree that you shouldn't have to do any work with AIO because it's non abrasive so put it on and let it do it's chemical thing.

Heh, what do you think? Oh btw, I already have my SG on so I hope I did it right.

The WOWO method is more for the SG. I AIO the entire car with the PC on 4, and then go back and buff it off. Works great for me. You should be just fine.

I use a Meguiars polishing pad or the blue Propel finishing pad with AIO and keep the speed on 5. Takes very little product to cover a panel. I go a few panels at a time then remove. No problems as long as you don't use too much product.

Why, what did you think? Just pouring a magic liquid onto the finish, and it will somehow smooth out the surface, or re-liquify the paint that allows it to flow in its own scratches?

No-no, polishing (aka, prep) = creating a smooth, flat, shiny surface by friction. In your case the 1 micron abrasives and chemical cleaners in the AIO would prep the finish quite well, assuming that it is in decent condition - without scratches. AIO has surprising bite (even mechanically) and does wonders on oxidation, and holograms, but - as you can figure - it must be worked in. Just spreading it on won't do anything and topping with SG will just show an imperfect finish, which is shinier than usual because of the acrylics. But your finish deserves a good prep before you want to show the true surface with the LSP...
