Very nice work, Matt! I have to agree that UPP is very, very slick. Nice and wet looking too!

Are you going to leave it alone long enough to figure out what kind of durability it gives you? ;)

Thanks Scott, I'm going to try my hardest to leave it alone (we'll see how that goes :lol). I may stick with the 1-layer per month routine that I've heard of some people doing. I don't think I can go any longer than that without reapplying :( :o

I love that combo (an believe me I tried a boat load) - Do you have their UGE? It has a small amount of UPP in it and will keep it snot slick between apps.

Matt - have you ever used SG over AIO? If so, how does UPP compare as far as look, slickness and ease of application and removal?

Thanks all.

I don't have UGE, I do have Z6 and Final Inspection, but I never QD alot...I'd rather just wash the car.

No sunny pics yet....I'll take some after the next wash :xyxthumbs

MattZ28- Yep, that sure turned out nice :xyxthumbs

I don't QD in place of a wash either, but the UGE can be a nice touch-up *after* washing. Quick and easy, just make sure you have it perfectly clean first.

Your plan to add some UPP every month or so should work out fine. After a month's worth of washes, the slickness does start to diminish a bit. Just spot-clay (*very gently*) as needed and add another coat. I can go a *long* time before I need to use a polish/paint cleaner again.

Buckslayer- It's a personal preference thing, but in side-by-side comparisons, *I* prefer the look of UPP over that of KSG on my vehicles. IMO the UPP is more user-friendly than the KSG (and I consider the SG *very* easy to use) and *MUCH* slicker. Not as durable though, and it seems you can't really "layer" it the way you can SG. UPP isn't quite as trim-friendly as KSG (but not bad, no real nasty staining) and if it gets mixed with any water (like drips from trim) it can leave some sorta hard to remove white spots. Not a real problem, but something to be aware of- UPP and water don't mix well.

Thanks Accumulator - what colors are your cars? Mine are dark (green and navy) and I was wondering if the UPP would look deeper than the KSG.

At the moment they're all silver/gray except for the medium blue Volvo. But having done many different colors, I think that you'd like the UPP look better (I'm sure *I* would). It'd just look "richer", IMO. Hmm...I'd especially like to see the dark green with UPP! No question, that's what I'd use on 'em unless I was after maximum durability and protection ( just can't beat the KSG for really armor-plating the surface).

Thanks again Accumulator - you're helping me out everywhere.

I would say my "dark" green isn't much different than the Camaro above.

You mentioned something that's gonna be more important than looks in the Michigan winters - durability. You also replied in another post that topping KSG with carnauba would mean I'd have to start over to do more KSG. Being that we're closing to winter than summer (???), maybe I'll just keep laying the KSG for now and try UPP next spring.

BTW - could I put more KSG over the UPP?
