Aio/upp?

I've noticed that a number of people are using the AIO/UPP combination. Are there advantages to following AIO with UPP instead of Klasse's SG?

Which would you recommend as giving the best follow up sealant after AIO on a black paint job: UPP or Poorboy EX ?

Hmmm, my question would be more of why do you need a topper for AIO?? Alot of people state that they want a topper for it, but it is stated by the product that it lasts for 6 months by itself. Having not used AIO, but really thinking about purchasing it, is the result of using only AIO on a finish look bad enough to where you need a topper?? I really like the properties of AIO as a cleaner and wax, and might use it or Final Polish as my winter polymer.

Umm .. I wouldnt leave AIO by itself.

Sure its a great cleaner and polish, but it REALLY does need something on top.

Hence UPP is so popular.

Not only that but UPP is more than happy to have S100 over the top again.

Now THAT takes some beating, for both shine and longevity.

Another advantage for UPP over SG is slickness. SG doesn't provide nearly as slick a surface as UPP does. UPP has the slickest finished surface of anything I have tried (never tried Z though). :xyxthumbs

Thanks for the replies. I've always been a big fan of the Klasse twins, but these sound like good reasons to give UPP a try. SG has been around for a long time, so I suppose it's not surprising that someone could come along with an improvement.

Which leads to the next obvious question. If you use UPP, why precede it with AIO instead of Platinum's own Ultimate Paint Pre-Cleaner? According to the Platinum web site, UPP-C prepares the paint surface so the UPP polymers can properly adhere. I suppose that is why AIO is used prior to SG (although with Klasse you never know anything for sure, except that it works).

AIO has more cleaning power than UPC. If you have a very well cleaned surface use the UPC. And don't forget their QD, also.

About coats, UPP improves till the 3rd, then there's no visible change.
