AIO topper

I am going to be using AIO for the first time tomorrow. Is it necessary to wait any particular amount of time for the SG to cure before topping it with Carnuba like S-100? I would really like to do multiple coats of SG and then the S-100, but it's not my car and I only have it for tomorrow.... Is it totally necessary to use the SG before the S-100 anyway? I have seen some conflicting reports.....:nixweiss

It has been said, that many Pro's who don't have the luxury of time when detailing multiple projects per day, will use their time wisely when faced with a curing time.



So if you have less than 24 hours before topping, you'll be OK.



Return another time for your 2nd coat of SG.
 
I used AIO and S100 on my minivan this past weekend and this is what I got...

Also, using AIO with a PC. A white pad or the grey finishing pad? Maybe just by hand? So many options, so confused...lol...



The vehicle is a red Cirrus (2000) with the appropriate amount of swirls for a vehicle that age. Is AIO necessary after using SMR?

AIO and S-100 looks great Spoiledman....
 
I'm doing a customer car with it, and I'm going to do it by hand. I guess the results would be better with a PC, but I can't afford one. lol
 
Depending on how much polishing you have already done, and how much (if any) you need to do, you can use either a finishing or polishing pad with AIO. A polishing pad will obviously give you a tiny amount of "cut", but if you've already used something really fine and are just looking for that extra 1% then go with the finishing pad.



No, you don't "need" AIO after SMR, but some people like to use AIO as a thin polymer base under some waxes.
