AIO on interior hard plastic

CharlesW

The Rainmaker
This past week I noticed some type of stain or discoloration on the dark gray, hard plastic around the door handle, lock, and window controls in the Pontiac mini-van.
APC+, Fantastic, Woolite 6:1, Spray & Wipe, and it was still there. The light had to be just right, but it was there.
Since I seem to be one of those that thinks AIO can fix most anything, I tried it.
And it took it off, left no residue, and made the trim look great. Not too surprising given the fact that I have been using it on my black plastic window molding for some time. This was the first time I had used it on anything with any texture to it. I'm sure it won't be the last.
Amazing stuff, that AIO.

I use AIO topped with SG on all my exterior trim. When it comes time to reapplying the SG, I reapply to the trim too. It's wonderful! :bigups

The AIO on my exterior trim has worked great, but it was always smooth trim, not the textured. I was a little concerned that the textured finsh on the interior trim might not wipe completely clean, but it was no problem.

I think the stuff might even grow hair!

Funny you should mention that! I keep my AIO high up on the shelf away from the children! Anyway...I was working in the garage and I accidently knocked the bottle of AIO with my ladder!

Sure enough the bottle fell and smacked me on the head and broke open..the AIO went all over me!

The only thing that I can think of that AIO has a problem with is just what you said. The bottle is somewhat fragile. After I read about a member dropping theirs and AIO'ing the floor, I started keeping some in 3 oz. flip top bottles from Wal*Mart. They are easy to handle and use, and if I drop one, 3 oz. is all I'm going to lose.

Just curious. Do you have a carpenters nail apron you wear when detailing? Those 3 oz. bottles fit in the pockets quite well.

Wal*Mart bottles

These 3 oz. bottles are available at our Wal*Mart for .50 each right now. I'm pretty sure I bought a 4 pack for about $1.50 at one time, but they didn't have that deal today.
