AIO by PC

If AIO is a chemical cleaner, what is the benefit of applying it with a PC? Does it reduce swirls by even a marginal amount when used with a PC?

Well, it doesn't remove ANY swirls for ME, by hand OR PC, and I've tried it on VERY soft single stage paint.

*I* do AIO by PC because *I* like it better. The motion of moving the PC is just more pleasant for me than the motion of moving the applicator. It's certainly easier for me to get better/more complete coverage/application- the PC's orbits-per-minute are a LOT more than I can do by hand, which to me equates to better cleaning. I even REMOVE it by PC a lot of the time, using MF bonnets. I started doing almost EVERYTHING by PC back when I had shoulder problems, and liked it so much that I kept doing it that way.

Use whichever method is most agreeable to YOU.

I've personally found that it can remove minor hazing caused by more abrasive polishes. This tells me that it does have some very minor abrasives. I use AIO with my PC in order to maximize the abrasive so that I can fully remove any hazing in my paint.

YMMV.

For finishing the job prior to waxing/sealing use the white CMA pad. If you want some more bite and more cleaning action try using it with the yellow pad. I've used AIO with a megs cutting pad and it worked fine.

Bill.

I've only used it with CMS's black finishing pad, but that is only after the "full monte" -(DACP, #9 or FP)

Beastie- Yeah, *I* use the polishing pad for AIO. If you decide to try the finishing pad like Gonzo, make sure things are already fully prepped (the way he does it) or you'll load up the pad rather quickly. Not a biggie, but you'll have to stop and clean it.

BillNorth- Maybe your PAD had something to do with your AIO's micromarring-removal ability :nixweiss Or just another example of how things can (and DO!) work differently for different people in different situations.

Those of you contemplating the AIO/cutting pad combo should first make sure your paint doesn't (micro)mar when a cutting pad is used on it. Most don't, but occasionally, some do.

I've used AIO with the meguiars yellow soft buff polishing pad (same as CMA white pad) to remove FI2 hazing. Worked beautifully with my PC.

I used the Meguiars maroon soft buff cutting pad and AIO on my car that sits outside 24/7. I didn't notice any new marring on the surface. It's not something I would do all the time, but it is a possibility if more bite is required.

JMHO. YMMV.

Well, that's why we say "YMMV"! :)

I always apply Klasse AIO by PC. I sent it between 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 and use a orange power pad from CMA. For me it is quicker and I think that it looks better. I apply everything by PC with the exception of Zaino and s100/carnumba waxes.

I was wondering if applying AIO with Meguiar yellow polishing pad w/o proper amount of AIO will produce any swirls?

So, I guess I'll apply SG by hand..
