It seems like every year at this time we here in the south have to deal with afternoon thunder storms/ rain showers almost every day.... How does everyone here cope with these storms.... It makes it almost impossible to maintian a pristine vehicle in these conditions.... What are all of your methods of dealing with the dreaded every day rain shower??

I use Meg's #16 this time, because it has this wierd ability to kind of "clean" the car when it rains. It beads so well, that the pollen and dust and such must get caught up in the beads and just roll off. Granted, doesnt work as well as actually washing the car, but IMO it keeps the car looking nicer than most other proudcts in the rain. Besides, you just can't beat the look of the #16 beads :D

I scream, stomp my feet, and curse the skies, and:D try to keep my car in the gargage if I am not working.

The forcast has been the same here everyday this week, and it is driving me nuts. The 4runner is in bad shape and needs a good days worth of work but it is hard to get it done between rain storms. I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!!

I have noticed that #16 also seems to keep the car cleaner after a rain storm. Other than keep it waxed, look for QEW to wash with. If it is just spotted, then QEW can really speed up the wash.

PB's S+W with a good MF, followed by PB's S+G (cheap and effective) or Pinnacle Crystal Mist (expensive and effective), depending on what I have for a topper on it (Souveran gets Crystal Mist, anything else gets S+G). Then I hit the rims with S+G (use wheel sealant first), and the tires with a quick coat of Mother's Reflections tire care via Tire Swipe. Comes out looking good as new, and only takes about 5 minutes. I haven't seen any marring from it on my black Pontiac, but then again, I polish it fairly regularly, and my eye isnt as discerning as some of those on here.

We just got blasted with a huge thunderstorm! I had to drive all the way across town and back.

The worst part is, I just spent 16 hours detailing it to perfection!

Well, I got to see the water bead up beautifully, but otherwise I was pissed.:(
