After summer storms - how do I keep up?

I am having the same problem, and my truck doesnt fit in the garage.

I tried to S$W it after it rained, but if there is anything on it besides rain water, it will leave marring.

No way around it, if you have driven a black vehicle, wash it with a hose and bucket.

this is where i stand also........i say if the car hasnt been washed in the past 4 HOURS!!!!!! than id NEVER wipe it. say a day or two goes by ill power rinse it and thats all. you will not have a problem with spotting the wax will do its job!. or jus wash it every 3 days like i do.

Thanks accumulator, this is exactly the advice I was looking for. I keep a good coat of polish/wax on my car, and clay it a few times a year. :

I'm lost - on black paint (in this case, black subaru paint), what do I do after a rainstorm? I feel like if I towel off most with a microfiber or waffle weave towel when the paint is dirty that I'm only putting scrathes on the finish? :wall

On the other hand, if I leave the water on there, even with a good wax job, I'll get spots.

So what do I do?? leave the water on, towel it off... I feel like it's a lose lose situation

Can someone experienced help me out??

Thanks in advance everyone!!

Joey, it is a dilemma because your car lives outside in the elements. Mine was on 2 days after a good wash and I went out to it and it had the most uniform dust spots everywhere, it actually looked like tightly spaced polka dots. Maybe it saw a light shower, I don't know. Well I could not stand driving it like that and was going out, so I went to the corner do it your self wash and gave a spot free rinse for $1, got up on the freeway for 3 miles and it blew dry. It really was pretty decent looking and took 5 minutes.

It is suppose to rain here all week and I am agonizing about it already :wall
