After Klasse SG............

I think you guys (and a lot on this forum) are slightly misled conceptually..these lsp's will NOT 'layer' like pieces of paper, with re-applications adding more and more layers of thickness. I know many of us would like to think it works that way and the product marketing certainly suggests it, however this simply isn't the reality. Adding extra 'layers' doesn't leave you with a thicker amount of film on the paint, only a more completely covered or renewed one(at the time of the last application). More likely than not, when you are using AW to 'top' or putting waxes on top of sealants, you are removing most if not all of the currently bonded sealant/wax and replacing it with whatever you're using.

are you saying that applying 476s on sg would remove the sg?

I've tried these over K twins:

-Meg's Gold Class liquid

-S100

-Souveran paste

-Eagle One Nanowax Spray

-Aquawax

-NXT paste

I prefer my Klasse untopped for the most part (SGx5). Klasse/Souveran is my fave on black, Klasse/S100 is my fave on silver. Nanowax Spray is great maintenance towards the latter life of SG once you begin to have swirls as it covers them up quite well. Aquawax is a fine topper for the early part of SG's life when you don't have to contend with swirls (AW doesn't hide them) and is a great booster/refresher product.

Yes that's what I'm saying, but probably worthy of a different thread. I'm not going to come out and definitively say that the application of wax after sg will completely remove the sg, but my educated guess is that it will remove the majority. Honestly most folks don't want to face the reality that products don't layer (in the sense of sheets of paper stacking on top of each other), because they have so much fun and feel like they're doing their cars a favor by spending so much time putting 2x, 3x, or even 4x+ layers of product on their paint. The guys at Chemical Guys explained it very well to me, but basically it's the same as the spray paint concept..you can spray paint on something and the next day it'll be dry and you can't wipe it off with a rag. However, spray some fresh spraypaint on it, and wipe, and wow - the new paint and yesterday's paint come off with it.....same thing with the sealants...the chemicals in them that keep them in a liquid form will also re-dissolve existing sealant to some degree when you apply a new coat. Basically what Im' saying is subsequent applications of lsp will not result in a thicker 'coat or layer' when all is said and done. IF that were the case, then the fanatics putting 20 'layers' of zaino on their cars would have such a thick layer you could scrape it with your fingernail... :) Basically the only point of more than 1 application or coat of lsp is to ensure more complete coverage from a durability standpoint. When it comes to carnaubas you won't get any additional durability but some claim there is a distortion of the optics when adding multiple coats of carnauaba that can produce a noticeably better LOOK.
