Perhaps I can't really discern stuff like that as my QDs don't usually change the beading (that I already have from my LSPs) enough to notice after a wash. I can sometimes see spots from bird-bomb removal that bead differently at the start of the wash, but they're back to normal by the time I wash and rinse.
I agree with your logic re LSP. The reason I noticed is that my Natty's blue beading was kinda wearing off. It was time to apply again, but in the meantime applied the UQD. The beading reappeared significantly, especially noticeable on the side panels, where the water just sheeted before. That's how I came to believe the UQD was responsible, rather than the Natty's blue.
