After DACP...

Well, I orded an arsenol for my truck, and she will defnintly be needing the DACP. Can i go straight to AIO or do i need something milder? What would you recomend from the meguiars line? I get so confused with all the different #s they got. Also, will the swirl remover from them REMOVE swirls, or simlply fill them so they will reappear after a few washes? I will be using the SMR on a red m3, minor damage. Thank you very much

I feel if you worked DACP correctly (until it is nearly invisible), then you can go to AIO. Or, you can wash and dry your vehicle again and then apply AIO.

SMR will fill minor swirls, not remove them.

To help in truly removing swirls, I have found that DACP followed by the Menzerna Twins (bottom right corner) will remove many scratches and swirls. Then put AIO on top of that! This is a killer combo, especially topped with a few layers of SG or a carnuba!

If the surface marring is light DACP alone on red followed with AOI will probably be enough. This is my protocol minus AIO on my silver metallic daily driver. On my black cars I follow the DACP with the Menzerna twins (IP and FP). On red probably either regimen on light marring will work. Neither combo will eliminate deep marring. Enjoy, DACP is a wonderful product.

You are going to use a PC?

I hope you would at least use a pc to do the work unless you have a lot of time to do it all by hand or are a pro detailer already.

This is a somewhat misleading statement. #9 Swirl Mark Remover, will remove light swirls and also fill in whatever is not removed. It is not a glaze. There are abrasives in it. If you don't believe it, rub it on a CD. You will see scratches galore.

But for serious swirl removal, you need DACP. If you have any leftover haze, you can use #9, but I've never had haze from DACP. Then follow with AIO. AIO will clean off all fillers from DACP and #9.

O yea, PC is coming! Hopefully it shipped, we'll see, so DACP is all right for light marring as well, did i read that right?

Yes!!! Just take your time and "work" the product (DACP). Some areas may need more than one application but that's okay. Do not fear working (buffing) the area until the results meet your realistic expectations ( some imperfections can not be completely removed with a PC or a non-professional).

Personally, I never do an entire vehicle in one session but divide the vehicle into sections ( hood and truck, upper beltline on one side, lower beltline, bumpers and front and rears fascias ,etc). I am a hobbist at detailing so I spread the joy over several days ( also have 2 other vehicles to drive when one is being detailed  ).

Keep it fun and enjoy the results by doing it right and taking your time. :wavey

i found out that by working DACP follwed by No82 Body Shop Professional Swirl Free Polish takes TONS of swirls out. also DACP with AIO is sweet.

Exactly! Plus, breaking the vehicle down in to sections means you won't get tired towards the end and start doing shabby work. Being fresh with each panel, you're more apt to take your time, work products properly, and achieve great results. Most importantly, you spread the joy of detailing your car over as many days as you want (working slow, I can get a week's worth of total bliss! Then it is about time to start again! Perpetual happiness.)

Everyone's right about DACP. If worked long enough (till powdery), it leaves minimal to no marring. I can't see any on my arctic pearl white or deep red and green I've done. It is probably my favorite product because it is so consistant in achieving phenomenal results. But you could follow up with something like #9, then #3 (or glaze of your choice for the oils). Then top with your protectant.
