After claying with CM paint still feels a little bumpy

I can't believe how naive I've been. Here I am thinking after claying the car you can just feel the surface with the back of your hand and all is good if it feels smooth and slick. Well I was wrong! After I tried the plastic bag trick I couldn't believe how much surface contaminants were on my car!

Problem is, I just tried some Clay Magic and that removed a good bit of the contaminants. I'de say approx 75% but I still feel rough spots on the car even after going over it twice. I also tried my Meguiars clay bar with no difference.

My question... is there a clay bar I can buy that is used for removing really stubborn contaminants on your paint... a more agressive clay bar I can buy?

Thanks

There are. Body shop grade clay bars such as the Claymagic red bar. First, I'd just try to reclay those spots, or move to a polish like AIO if it could be oxidation?

you just cant go over the car real quick with it....you have to work it.....I spent 4 hours claying a truck one time....yeah 4 hours.....it looked like a white truck with a hint of red in the paint it was so bad....went through 2 clay bars and 2 bottles of lube on it....by the end of the clay session, I called it quits and took a day rest....my arms were killing me and I couldnt move them...I got 99% of the stuff out....the other 1% you cant even tell without looking under a light and really looking for it.....I used 1 meguiars yellow and one mothers yellow....I liked the meguiars better, seemed to work faster....as in only 4 swipes over stuff compared to 6-7 on the mothers bar....

I just clayed another car today....spent 1hr 15min on it and used a portion of a bar that I got off ebay...it was purple....seller said it would last 75 cars throughout the whole bar....well, the piece I used was thrown in the trash because just before I was done, it felt like I was holding chewed up gum....

so get a quality bar, go over every inch of the car a few times before moving on to the next spot, spray a lot of lube so the clay doesnt stick, and your results will feel better....also try a cleaner wax, then feel it....test it out on a fender or a small portion to see if there is a difference....the cleaner wax I used made a slight difference in the car I did it on....much cleaner paint, much cleaner wet look on this silver car

I didn't go over the car quick... actually I'm testing this CM on only 1/3rd of my hood and using lots of lube and moderate to heavy pressure. I know what you mean by feeling soar after a hard day of work claying and such. :) I also just went out and tried Mothers Cleaner wax with the green propel light cutting pad and that did make the paint a bit smoother and maybe removed a little more contaminants but not very noticable.

I have to agree with this statement. I know someone who uses Meguiar's Cleaner Wax exclusively on his 2 silver vehicles, and his paint is in good condition for such little maintenance.
