advise on ssr1

I make yo ride bling!! :)
ok, so i had an chance to do some experimenting on a detail for my cousin, black 2000 jeep cherokee with average paint. products used and experimented with...

opt compound
opt polish
meg 86 solo
adams swirl/haze remover
ssr1

rotary with edge blue wool and foam pad
pc with blue edge pad

hood being the worse naturally got opt compund with blue wool then a half and half of opt polish and meg 86 with blue foam on rotary and pc

all 4 fenders got ssr1 with rotary and blue wool followed with pc blue foam

4 doors got adams with same routine as the fenders

hatch got 1/2 n 1/2 of opt polish and meg 86

whole vehicle topped with p21s

this was a fun detail/experiment tp play with, cousin was just happy i did it, i got to play with diff toys, good time by all

all this said, im personally not happy with final results, cousin loves it, but my detailing eye thinks i should have went 1 more step after the blue foam on rotary. my qustion is, i know opt and meg are both a pad dependant polish, im assuming ssr1 isnt, but for future reference, should ssr1 be better used b4 or after a product like opt polish or meg 86, i didnt see much of a cut with ssr1 which i know should have alot of cut, but i thought maybe with a light cut wool i could of got a lil more than what i did, shine and gloss was awesome. just wanted to know where i should use the ssr1 with these other products? btw, this was my 1st exp with ssr1 and adams :rockon

I don't use wool often but definitely by the time I've worked down to SSR 1 the wool has long been put away.

this is where your wrong SSR1 has the Least amount of cut you can get in the SSR line it's a finish polish and should go last with a polishing pad or a finishing pad.

Patrick is right on :bigups. The heaviest cut would be SSR 3 then lessen in cut to SSR 1

sorry, i made a typo, i did know ssr1 was the least cut on the ssr line, but this was my 1st time workin with it, so ssr1 should only or best be used with foam and pc then? or can i use it as i would opt polish with a pc?

Yea ssr1 isnt gonna have much of a cut at all. If you woulda threw on a ploishing pad with ssr1 thats a good combo right there. good luck

for what its worth, the blue wool i have is *suppose* to be a light cut/polishing pad for the rotary, not an excuse by any means, and at the same time, my 1st exp with ssr1 and adams. the jeep was a experiment for the most part as to what product does what with each pad and how the work well my p21s as an lsp, nice fun day after all said n done
