advice on these combos..red car

Heya all...

Finally getting round to giving my car a full detail, and so have to order the prod's....

I've used Meg's stuff in the past, and am very happy with it.,.. so for that reason I planned to use DACP as the compound. There are tons of swirls at the moment, and so I feel DACP's abrasiveness will be a minimum required. The paint itself though is in pretty excellent condition - you wouldnt say its a 1995 car (Honda Integra vtir).

But yeh, this was my plan:

WASH - (megs 00)
CLAY - (megs clay ... its sitting there unopened so may as well use the thing)
CUT/SMR - DACP with rotary
* Not sure whether its worth then using Megs #9 after this, just to try and get rid of as many swirls as poss. Yes? No?
POLISH - Merzerna FP
SEAL - UPP
WAX - S100 (maybe)...

I've never used Merzerna .. but have heard alot of glowing reviews - would it 'clash' in any way with the UPP and the whole combo of products I'm using? Perhaps there is a better option? Again at this stage I'm not planning on using Poorboys ... What about Vanilla Moose? In terms of clarity/wetness, do any products clash?

Basically I want the paint to pop ... at this stage, its all 100% for looks. If I have to reapply things every few weeks this is fine ...

My colour is torino red...picture of it below. First one is in sun (it deepens and is alot more richer). Second is just in average light (i.e. afternoon), tends to look more pinkish red but still red.

Love to hear peoples opinions ... thanks heaps,

I don't know that the Menzerna step is necessary. You could easily replace that with the 4 Star Ultimate Paint Cleaner and not have to worry about UPP not working well. I'm sure there wouldn't be any conflicts either way.

I've found that on red I get the best results with 3 layers of UPP and a topper of Pinnacle Souveran. S100 looks excellent too in the absence of Souveran. I love Souveran on red though... UPP and S100 would definitely make it look great.

vtir, eh? Are you an Aussie? I had a friend out there somewhere. He went by the name of Pez. He had a teg too that looked like that. I've got a GSR sedan myself. Gotta love the almighty teg. :bigups I'm sure you have already, but check out www.team-integra.net if you haven't already. Excellent site for teg enthusiasts.
