Hello,
I ran into an issue recently with a set of "leather" seat covers I had installed. The covers were supposed to be leather but are actually a vinyl, leatherette, or some other type of unidentifiable synthetic material. The issue came when they tried to "shrink down" the seat covers using a heat gun. The material quickly melted and now has a wet shine to it in a few locations. Its driving me nuts. I have no idea how to approach repairing this, or of there is anything out there that will remove the shine. I am also open to having them professionally repaired, however I have no idea where to go to do this. Take a look and let me know what you think. I am leaning towards replacing the covers again.
