Advice on Cleaning

How many coats are you grtting with 1 oz? (half of the mixing bottle)

You should be able to get at least 3 IMO.

I use it very thin and can get up to 6 coats per oz of Z2 with ZFX.

Here are my results:

Did 6 coats from 1 oz: 3 on vette and 3 on 540.

Did 5 coats from 1 oz: 3 on brothers X5 4.4 and had enough left to do 2 on the vette.

Did 6 coats from 1 oz: 3 on my dads 97 Sedan Deville (fabric top) and 3 on my sisters SLK 230 (small car)

When Sal tells you to use it thin. I do with great results!
 
For your first few coats if you can get 1-2 coats per ounce you are doing ok, but you should practice going thinner. With ZFX drying time does not depend so much on how thin the coat is, so all you are doing by going thin is not wasting product. If you can get at least 8-10 coats of zaino per bottle you are doing ok, but some users can get about 15-20 easily. Use a damp pad spritzed with some Z6 for smoother application.
 
Hey guys! I noticed after detailing that my wheels had excess brake dust on them and I can't manage to fully clean them. That said, any product that I can get that will do the job will be greatly appreciated! Here are a few pictures to illustrate.

I would try Sonax or IronX, then clay 'em, then seal them. If that doesn't get them clean you may want to find a pro before doing anything more aggressive to avoid damaging them any further.
 
Thanks for the response! I've been reading good things about Sonax so I will order some of that. I love the BF products but have yet to try the tire product either. I'll have to get some of that as well. Thanks again!

Sonx is great stuff. A touch spendy though. Are you allowing the wheel cklener to dwell long enough, and are you using a brush to get in all the nooks and crannys of the wheels?

Yes, I do have a soft bristle brush that I use and that didn't help. After I used my standard shampoo and a lambs wool mitt not doing the job, I dried the wheels with a ww towel. Then got a fresh ww towel and used some detailer to try to rub the excess grime off the wheels with no success. The wheels are some what expensive so I'm really hoping to restore them. Worst comes to worst is I'll just have them pc'd but I'm hoping to prevent that.
