Advice needed to remove oil based paint from a soft top converetible

hi friends

A friend of mine has a Mercedes with soft top.

Well, somebody was doing some painting work, and got a few blobs of paint on the soft top of the ride.

As above, your suggestions and advice on how to remove the same will be most appreciated. and my friend plans to have the soft top coated too.

Make sure it is dried. Carefully scrape with a plastic razor blade. That should take care of the paint.as far as residue a good apc should take care of that, use a toothbrush and you should be fine

Oil based paint takes forever to dry but hopefully it this car is warm enough, it wont take too long..
I might experiment with Mineral Spirits since its oil based paint and a sharp QTip so see what happens..
But that's just me..
Latex would dry fast and probably scrape off easily...
If you do get it all off with no problems, I would recommend the Ragg Topp cleaner and conditioner..
I used it all the time on the zillion Convertibles up in Seattle, with my Mytee Hp60 Spyder extractor to rinse and pull everything out of the top.

Once, i did this to a Mini Convertible that was transported from WA to FL, and it was on the bottom and a nasty car above it leaked oil onto the perfect clean top..
The people called me about what to do and I told them to just wash it and they did and the oil came right off..
Now you know why I always put a lot of the RaggTopp conditioner on the the perfectly cleaned tops..
