I picked up some tires and the edge touched the leather. Now it wont come off. I tired using APC diluted 10:1, Lexol and just plain car soap (gold class). Nothing works. Is there anything OTC worth trying or boutique that would work? i was thinking maybe a steamer to soften it? Thanks in advance.

I know people use Woolite, but i dont think that'll be strong enough.

Sorry for the blurriness but the stain is so embedded, it even has the tires info.

Magic Eraser foam will remove it, but be very careful. It is an abrasive. I recommend using it with soapy water for lubrication.

You either remove the marks by etching that means removing the pigment as well.

Or you need a chemical reaction that penetrate, lubricate and suspense the dye-transfer that might save you the color refinishing.

The dyes can also be bleach-off with a special powder bleach that is mixed to a cream that will bleach off the dyes stains without affecting the pigment color.

Email me for more details how to safely remove the dye-transfer from the black tire.

Your only hope without resorting to damaging the leather pigment.

This is treated in the same way as dye transfer and is oftendifficult to remove without damaging the finish/pigment. The dye transfer from the tyre ill hwave penetrated the finish and it is no longer a cleaning job but a restoration one.

You can try an alcohol cleaner which will safely remove whatever is sitting on the surface of the leather. If this does not work then you will have to resort to recolouring the leather to cover the damaged area. Anything that guarantees to remove the damage will also damage the pigment which will then need replacing.

Hope this helps

It is always best to recolour the panel although some may just do the affected area. Crucail to get a good colour match and use restoratoin products rather than DIY ones.
