hello,
My car got scratched by a loser across 4 panels on the right side with a sharp pointed object about 2 mths ago. Certain parts of the scratch did not reach the bare metal but quite a significant length hit the metal. :hairpull
Going for a total respray was an option which i finally decided not to go for as i wanted to see if i can do the repair work myself and learn something along the way. After reading David's guide, i gathered that the following might be feasible:
1) Get touch-up paint for the portion that hit the metal
2) Do wet sanding after the touch up paint dries
3) Polishing with a DA polisher and menzerna IP and FP
Any comments on the process and advice would be most appreciated. Many Tanx in advance!! :xyxthumbs
Ps, i have never used a machine to polish my ride, was all arm power since i got the car 2 years ago, started with Meguiar and switched to Zaino bout a yr ago.
