Advice for a newbie :P

Hey guys, it has been a while since i have posted on here. Have been busy working midnights so haven't had much time to detail the truck. Any ways a couple weeks ago I applied 2 coats of Jetseal 109 to my Jeep which turned out nice but I noticed today that my sheepskin chamois is leaving visible scratches on my car. The only other thing i use is my dodo juice wookie fist wash mitt, which i don't believe would be leaving any scratches as i rinse it off after every use. Are sheepskin chamois known to leave scratches? Also another question I have is pretty much all my trim is faded. I have tried opti-bond tire gel, mothers back to black, CG natural look and nothing seems to be helping. I will include pics as well to help in any opinions you guys may have. Lastly I have a probem with bug etching, is there anyway to fix this? Its bugging the crap outta me (no pun intended) Thanks guys!

Sorry to hear! My suggestion would be to immediately stop using the chamois and treat yourself to a nice new MF waffle weave drying towel:Reason being is, you're never going to get a chamois as clean as a microfiber towel that you can machine wash after each use.

While you're at it, I'd also suggest getting a few different color MF's for wiping down your door jams, trunk lid, and other places grim tends to hide out. This way you don't run the risk of cross-contaminating your towels and marring your nice clean Jeep!

Cobra Guzzler Waffle Weave Drying Towel, 16 x 24 inches

Another option is if you have a shopvac w/ a blower port, connect the vacuum hose to it (after emptying the vac of course) and use a concentrator nozzle to blow all the water off.

Looks like you'll need to use a product with a dye to bring the fade back to black:

What have you done to try remove the etching so far? Do you have a DA?

Thank you for your response! Will definitely look into those products as I don't want to waste my time polishing and making it shine if my chamois is going to scratch the finish. I have used PB bug squash diluted and undiluted and nothing helped. I tried Megs m-101 with my griots DA which also yielded no results.
 
Yes, throw that chamois away as yes, they do scratch! I don't think it would hurt to try Tarminator for the bugs with a sponge. If it removes tar it should remove bugs but still not harm anything. For trim, I love Aerospace Protectant 303.
I know this is common sense but going forward don't let the bugs build up (dry too long) and apply the trim protectant often. Good luck.
by the way... I have a black 2015 Wrangler Unltd. Rubicon!
