Adding another layer of wax without washing

Question...let's say I washed my car yesterday and applied a layer of AIO, then the next day i drove to work (sunny day) and then went home, how would I add another layer of AIO wihtout having to wash my car? Is it possible? Use the CA duster and then add another coat of AIO?

As long as the surface is clean and not dusty then you are fine. Either using the CCD or just using some QD and wiping it down should work. I've done that twice this week because I didn't want to have to wash my car before each layer. The neighbors might start to talk. lol

Depends on how dusty it is. I find that in the spring here, the pollen is so thick that I don't want to just dust the car. For all other times, what Jngr suggested would work great.

Oh okay...well I hope it doesn't get too dusty then...one more layer of AIO and then hopefully some SG if I don't get too lazy

heh jngrbrdman I also feel wierd in front of my neighbors now since they see me washing every other day.

You speak of layering AIO.........

AIO will remove whatever is underneath...it seams to me your defeating its purpose....unless your just not happy with the original results.....Its a polish/protectant, but apparently several other folks seem to think your ok....:nixweiss

I wouldn't think AIO would layer well because of the cleaning and polishing fillers in it. Effectively you remove what you applied the day before. The Klasse SG Sealant can certainly be layered though. What are the thoughts/experience on layering AIO

No way. If you drive the car or let it sit for a significant period of time it needs to be washed again.

Disagree. Depends on how long it sat, how dirty it gets. A good CCD and QD will do the trick if the car didn't actually get dirty in-between.

Well lately it seems like my car has been attracting a lot of dust, I think it's due to the mf towels being dryed to many times in the dryer or I've got it set to high, cuz it's statically charging my paint. But the dust comes off fairly easily with the CCD.

Also another question, let's say I applied one coat of AIO, and the next day I noticed I didn't "buff" some areas out enough and it left some residue, should I, (A) use a clean mf towel and buff off the residue, (B) use CCD to remove any dust and then use a clean dry mf towel and buff it off, or (C) use QD to remove it?

Also I was under the impression that layering AIO was good, I recall reading members adding like 2 or 3 layers before using SG.

As said, I think it depends on how dusty/dirty it gets from one day to the next. If you mean you've just applied some AIO the night before, and want to buff out any missed spots the next morning, it might be really clean if the car is garaged. But if you drive the car around or it sits outside (like my car does) then you'd probably want to be more careful.

Since buffing out material you've missed sometimes can involve some rubbing (AIO should be pretty easy buffing though), the default safest way (without washing) is to do a normal CCD/QD cleaning combo and then separately buff the spot you missed. You might not have to by the time you're done QDing, but I'm just saying I would not try to QD and buff it at the same time. Just to be extra-careful. ;)

EDIT: I forgot about your 2 or 3 coats of AIO comment. As far as I know, people (such as jimwh in his excellent Klasse instructions) only apply AIO more than once to get additional polishing/cleaning effect. Additional applications may add some more protection if applied gently, but I wouldn't count on it being as significant as adding a coat or two of SG...
