Add depth to silver - MORE clearcoat!

So, everyone wants to add depth to silver, right?

How about spraying a couple (or more) additional coats of clear to a perfected finish? Or would the state of the finish not matter - i.e. would they wetsand it before they sprayed?



I was thinking that this might just be a decent solution, if not the cheapest one... maybe even add a little metallic flake to the first layer of clear



Just a thought. I might call my shop to see what it'd cost.

probably just add more gloss/shine...depth IMHO is caused by the mirror like effect you get from black...but clear or especially flake/candying would surely make it look good!

It seems to me that the European cars have the best Silver and depth that no-one else seens to be able to match.
